Denan Kemp Dropped

Broncospwn, Stewart is crap compared to Gidley and will not unseat him from Gidley's best position which is fullback now or anytime soon. Stewart has a lot of pace and decent instincts but so do Gidley and Slater but they can also create for those around them (also Hunt minus the pace) great fullbacks don't just score tries they also create them; Lockyer, Belcher, Jack, Gidley, Slater, Hunt.
I rate Gidley as a better player but I think NSW selections would of chose Stewart at #1 with Gidley at 6 if Stewart played all games and was playing well. Now that Gidley is captain and fullback I doubt his spot will be challenged for a few years to come at least.

At the same time, Stewart is an awesome fullback and is another very good player who could be added to NSW but Gidley needs to be there and Fullback is his best position so I guess it's just unlucky for Stewart.

There is of course the possibility that Stewart will be in jail for his NRL career [eusa_naugh so Gidley should be safe

Yup agreed. Mrslong suffers from severe memory loss. McKinnon's form at the end of last year after his injury was incredible, and the year before that was even better. He is by far the best support player in the game, it's a shame the Warriors have sucked so much this year though - I have absolutely no doubt that McKinnon will be a NSW fullback in a few years time.
I can't remember how many times he supports his man up the middle get's the offload, makes the break, then makes the bad decision and bombs the try.

He does it too often to be any good.

I don't rate him. He's a very good support player, a terrible finisher. The Eels did good to be rid of him!!!

True but until he has been formally charged I will assume he's innocent and will continue to play NRL icon_thumbs_u

Wade's having an average year by his rather high Warriors-career standards. Partially because we are struggling, and not working well as a team in support or on attack in general. He also looks unfit and nowhere near as elusive as we all know he can be.
However, Wade's still very solid defensively, and on attack he rates high in the Fullback stats for tries, line breaks, average metres, offloads and tackle breaks.
Just out of interest Wade also rates consistently higher in all areas than Luke Burt, who I believe he was replaced by...
McKinnon definitely needs to watch his back though - kevin locke is an absolute gem in first grade so far, and is usually a fullback by trade. Might be just a matter of time before Kevin takes the 1 jersey for the Warriors and probably the Kiwis too.

And you can bet the NSW DPP will have their best prosecutors on the case icon_thumbs_u

Sounds like Kemp is going to be joining the Bulldogs, well that's the reported rumour anyway.

Apparently the Bulldogs are interested in Mateo and Inu as well.

Do the dogs have a cap?? FFS they are rorting it again no doubt. I will be ropable if Kemp signs with the Dogs especially as we need a fullback for 2010.

Not to mention Shrek, Anasta and Mason. Bet the Dogs weren't even near the cap last year.

Your dreaming they must be getting close to the cap surely... I know they aren't rorting the cap just pure frustration at another Bronco ending up playing for that club...

They would be using it all up this year. I'm sure El Masri would've been on a decent contract so they wouldn't have a problem signing Denan for next year.

The dogs were well under the cap, over a million under.

This year they have these players coming off contract:
Millard, Holdsworth, El Masri(decent cash), Utai (decent cash), Morrin, Leano, Crisp, D.Williams, Gordon, Kite.
Besides kite, holdsworth, gordon and millard the rest are goners.

Unfortunately it looks like the Dogs will have a lot of cash to spend again next year. It's the salary cap, win the premiership 4 years later get a wooden spoon then all of a sudden you're in a great position again, it's the Good-Shit-Good salary cap cycle, how far the good and bad goes depends on the club management and CEO in particular, IMO Greenberg is one of if not the best CEO in the game.

Well I hope they don't win!!! Can't stand the dogs winning the GF again so soon!

I'd prefer they lost in a grand final :P Although poor Hazem :(
