Thing that's a bit odd in all this is we are saying the NRL said we did nothing wrong but him, his management and the NRL auditor are saying the investigation isn't even finished yet. Why as a club would we lie about it.

The NRL hasn't turned a blind eye. It's backed the Broncos. But it does look like the onus has been placed on the Broncos as to what to do next: they can destroy this kid's life (or next three years in rugby league) or they can draw a line through him. I don't think there's a lot to be gained by appeasing the more vindictive nature of fans wanting revenge, but a precedent does need to be set. In that sense, it should be up to the NRL to be the tough guy.

I'm not sure they have the teeth to punish the Dolphins given at this point they are denying everything and the kid is making it about the Broncos. But they certainly could prevent him from playing in the NRL.

Totally agree......another case of a shit **** player manager, doing a piss poor job of looking after his client.

Saying such things like this ....."I can promise you one thing: I will never play for Brisbane as long as I live." .....is inflammatory.....totally unnecessary and only sets up the opposition (Broncos) to dig their heals in further.

It’s entirely about money and the only thing that could’ve changed between him happy to sign the 3 year deal and now is a rival offer, which we all know has likely come from the phins. And the NRL won’t do a thing about it, because the game is run like a bush league.

why did he wait until we denied him a release so he could earn more money?

the problem for him is this is literally a case of he said/he said. I'm not sure there is any way for the NRL to prove one way or the other (unless DD turns whistle blower maybe).
