Hodges tackle was horrible. He should have been sent off and should go for some time! Hayne's was silly.

If he get 6 weeks for that, then players lifting in a tackle will get most of the season.
A spear tackle will get them 2+ years. [icon_ee
The Rock said:Come on, Hayne's lifting tackle didn't compare to Hodges' tackle mick. Maybe you folks a the game didn't see it as good - But Hodges had Riddell completely horizontal. (And it so late). Hayne's tackle was a lifting tackle too, but Hodges was lucky to stay on the field IMO.

Andyman said:I could be wrong, but I think that the reason Rogers got 4 weeks is because he tried to contest it. If he had taken the early plea he would have got 3 (?). Also, Hodges got let off after the Titans game tackle, even though it occured after the Rogers incident.
No excuse for Hodges' tackle. His bulls**t will cost us a game one day (maybe even a season if he is suspended for long enough).
I reckon he will get 2-3 weeks.

Ya know when that try was being awarded with the elbow to Kemps face, Parker and I think Hodges was blowing up to the ref ,and he just told them to " go away,It's a try".
I cannot see any reason why A captain should be told to " go away" for complaining about a foul play, especially in the lead up to a try that the video ref can have a look at.

Have a look at it again. Hodges was late, he grabs him and throws him on the ground. It was completely hozitontal, it was a terrible, terrible tackle. There is absolutely no way that they could rule that Hodges and Rogers incidents were equal.
I'm not going to compare it with the Rogers tackle because he got way too many weeks, and the judiciary seem to have realised this and relaxed a little.
I'll say it again: he didn't drive Riddell into the ground. In the past, the judiciary seem to favour tackles where the player pulls out early. I'm not commenting on whether they are right or wrong in doing so, it's just an observation.
Whatever he gets, I hope he comes back with a new attitude.
