RUMOUR Kodi Nikorima to Storm

I was thinking that maybe Bennett was going to groom him for FB in a season or 2 and move Boyd out into the centres...I kind of got the feeling that Bennett had a plan for him and that he was going to be part of the future?? I can't see him going anywhere unless Wayne says otherwise.
Bennet was in the paper a couple of weeks back talking about Kodi's retention. Went along the lines of have another year developing off the bench and if we don't have a spot by then go chase the $$$.If he had those plans didn't sound like it there.

Can't blame a guy for wanting to take a better paying gig and to play his natural position. Everyone talks about him vs. McCoullough and ones a hooker and ones a back. Good luck to the kid. I mean that sincerely.

Yeah that doesn't sound like much of a plan ha!

Speaking of Kodi, do any of our insiders have an update on what's happening with him?

I read somewhere online yesterday that Kodi is The Storms 'Plan B' in the event they can't resign Green.

By all accounts Green wants to stay as well, purely down to the $$$$ now as it always seems to be.

Apparently we have tabled an offer to Cody Walker. If true, I think that's a fair indication about Kodi.

SOUTH Sydney have a fight on their hands to keep Cody Walker with Brisbane making a bold play to sign the five-eighth.
Foxsports.com.au can reveal the Broncos have tabled Walker a three-year-deal in a bid to lure the off-contract playmaker from Redfern to Red Hill where he would play under super coach Wayne Bennett until at least the end of 2019.
But Michael Maguire and his Bunnies are still in the hunt for Walker and have offered him a new two-year-deal.
Currently on a contract worth around $120,000 a season, the Rabbitohs’ new offer is understood to be short of what he can earn at the Broncos.

The jostling for his signature could have been avoided, with Walker pushing to sign a new Rabbitohs deal earlier in the year before negotiations stalled.
The lack of urgency to initially table Walker a new offer could now come back to bite them, with Bennett on the lookout for an impact player.
Foxsports.com.au can reveal the Broncos met with the 26-year-old last week, prior to his starring role at fullback in their 34-24 win over St George Illawarra.

Continuing to impress during his limited time in first grade, Walker has played the bulk of his career in the No.6 but his versatility as a backline player and even hooker has made the livewire a hot commodity.
With Kodi Nikorima stuck behind Andrew McCullough at the Broncos and attracting bigger money offers from rival clubs, it appears Walker would satisfy the utility post Nikorima currently fills, should he leave the club.

The Courier Mail reported last week that Nikorima has attracted serious interest from Melbourne, while he’s also been linked to St George Illawarra, where Benji Marshall and Mitch Rein are both off-contract.
It’s understood the Rabbitohs have already discussed the idea of playing John Sutton and Greg Inglis in the halves alongside Adam Reynolds next season should Walker leave, although they are refusing to give up hope of keeping him in the green and red.
Premiership winning five-eighth Luke Keary, however, is expected to leave at the end of the season.
Keary, like Nikorima, has been linked with a move to the Dragons.

Cody Walker either to Broncos or Dragons as bench utility. Souths dont want him. They are offloading to make a play at someone big. The rumours ive got is Hayne in for G.I

Danny , i have heard the same things. My information (an guys please don ask me who) is that if Hayne train doesnt sign with Roosters, hes next choice is Rabbits as his good friends with some of their player. Possibly Hayne to fullback with GI in the 6 jersey an unname player at centre. Still specilation, but, expect movements before cut off date of June 30. Stay tune .

Wait so you guys are saying the Rabbits can afford GI, Hayna and Surgess for the loss of Cody Walker? Wow!
