Maybe we should have got rid of Milford instead of Hunt. Say what you want about Hunt, but he always had a dig. Maybe having him paired with Dearden and telling him just to run would have been better for us. His kicking was improving, his short kicking mainly.

It’s like being paid more then the majority of nrl players puts them under the microscope and the flaws start to be noticed. hunt and Milford are good players they just aren’t worth what they’re getting. I agree with the Hunt comment, one thing you can never criticise him of is a lack of effort, in fact his biggest flaw is the fact he tries too hard sometimes.

Hunt would have given us a pretty gun Dummy Half too, if we could have convinced him to take the role seriously. He was ahead of his time in that role and we missed the boat big time not utilising him there long term.

I don’t think so, at the time when the club needed to make a decision Milford was absolutely the right choice based on form and looking to the future.

3 years on and both broncos and dragons have to admit it was a poor investment that no one would have foreseen.

Club just needs to make the right call again, it’s never a guarantee but you have to go with the information you have and the high % call here is to shop Milford for ‘21 or failing that let him go elsewhere for ‘22.
