NRL Players and family members in hot water

Good thing it was only the Bulldogs then.

Alleged scratch... Sounds like a load of shit. If it's proven that she made it up hopefully the cops come down hard on her
Yeah well off guy, they've been split for a while now, she was in his house still, he went to get the keys back and he's facing assault for a scratch. I don't know the full story, but it sounds like a load of shit to me. If he really did have any intention of hurting her it would be much worse than a scratch. The thing with this, is he works as an ambassador for areas such as domestic violence, so the most damaging way to get back at him would be to try to get him accused of exactly that. It destroys his credibility (he's already been stood down) and reputation for the very field he works in. It might be true, but court date is set for Feb 1st next year, so until then the allegations stand. Hopefully if he's innocent he is reinstated and back paid for his work.

It's probably another topic for another day, but society these days seems to be "guilty until proven innocent" even though the foundation of our legal system is the opposite of that.

With the current blitz on domestic violence (rightfully so) no cop is going to let any allegations slide.

A scratch is still an assault, if his defence is self defence then he'll provide evidence, dont forget what a defence lawyers job is

It's all legal under Shari a law for a man to beat his wife. Get with the times ppl!

Don't know why you bothered asking, as far as I know you only care about being under J Law. ZING!
I know it was all about the pun, but JLaw is doesn't fulfill his requirements, he only has eyes for her:

This is a terrific point, broncospwn and a very pertinent one. I think it's media driven. It's a disturbing trend I'm noticing more and more in the media particularly when it comes to rape, domestic violence or sexual assault allegations. Basically, the woman is right. Watch any report, the guy's name is dragged through the mud and trashed for a good 5-10 mins before the media tack on the fact that "the investigation is still ongoing..." or "please remember these are only allegations at this time..." or "Innocent until proven guilty". It makes me sick.

The problem is even if the charges are dismissed or the guy is found not guilty it's very difficult for the man involved to get clear of it or get a fresh start. There's already been a hatchet job done. I wish the media would steer clear of legal proceedings, tbh. It's a pipe dream though, I know. If he's guilty then he'll stand trial for it. If he's innocent the charges should be dismissed. Let the facts be the facts and the media should just but out.

Don't forget how you get portrayed if you dig into the 'victims' story etc

Someone (assumed to be his ex) has hacked Curtis Sironen's social media and posted a pic of him in bed with a naked chick.

Best of all, the top article at news.com.au's League section is running the story, with a disclaimer of "news.com.au has decided not to publish the image". The third article is pretty much the same story, with the pic in question as the title image as well as it being displayed throughout the article (albeit slightly censored). Stay classy News.

Look at those pants... What a deadshit.
