He'll be yours next year unless Raiders decide to play hardball and the more rumours about chasing their juniors the more likely that'll be the case IMO, if broncos were smart they would've waited till after they'd snared him before talking about Lee

Broncos are talking about Edrick Lee?

Oh...well Brenko sounds a lot like Bronco, maybe it's destiny.

Anybody else catch the NRL 360 segment?

Fairly typical of the show in one sense but had to laugh at Kimmorley's porky. Seemingly he's forgotten about the reports that emerged last off-season about Milford's desire to return home and is going around making accusations that he can't back up. Of course, he was only supporting Kent who was being well Kent. I don't actually mind Paul in the sense that you know where the guy stands on the issue, the problem is he's far too stubborn and smug on certain topics. His little diatribe on the Broncos just came across as sour grapes. Was happy that Tallis was there to fire back - he didn't always make the best points but it certainly disrupted Kent's flow and made him sweat a little.

"Seeing a part of what Milford's gone through this year... there was no way he was homesick. But all of a sudden there's a reason to be homesick and some of the other juniors at the club."

Brett Kimmorley

Never mind that reports emerged around this time last year about Milford being homesick...

I don't have any direct quotes.

The gist was something along the lines of...

The other clubs in the NRL are sick of the Broncos going around tapping Queensland eligible players on the shoulder and telling them they should return home. Brisbane have an unfair advantage because they're a one town team and they shouldn't be targeting players who are still on contract.

Gordie fired back with...(not verbatim but just the gist)

Technically the Dragons are a one town team being based in Wollongong - nobody is accusing them of having an unfair advantage.

Every club does it and has been doing it for years, how else did Ricky and Gal convince Tamou into becoming a Blue?

Clubs shouldn't feel entitled to talent from the Broncos neck of the woods. They have been poaching some of Queensland's best talent for years, Brisbane have a right to remedy this.

Silly points like that but it derailed Kent somewhat. He also jokingly accused Noddy of being biased after that quote.

Haha only Gordie would compare Woolloongong population of 200k to Brisbane 2.2million

Yeah no one has ever accused Gordie of being a genius, but unless you are being a pedantic ass hole like kent to push an agenda, you got his point. He should have said the titans or the warriors or cowboys or something like that instead, but like I said only pedantic, asshole agenda pushers 'missed' his point

His point of feeling entitled to players works both ways though, just because someone is from Brisbane doesn't mean Broncos should feel entitled to them if they haven't put any work into them and ignored them when they were juniors. That sort of attitude delivered the Logan area to the Raiders and a few schools up here that begged the Broncos for assistance but got ignored but once they signed with the Raiders the broncos were all over them whinging and asking why they signed with the Raiders. (Lol if that made sense).

Gordie could've said Titans, Warriors or Cowboys and would've been just as idiotic, none of those have the same sort of league playing population which is why Brisbane can easily accommodate another club, it's too big for Broncos to look after themselves and they don't.

Gordie has his own agendas just like Kent.

Why do they want to leave their current clubs ? That's the question.

If that's what helps you feel better, then yeah, sure it's just about dollars.

If it is solely about dollars as you claim, why is their current club not paying them what they are worth?

So you're saying the Raiders cannot come up with a large enough offer to keep AM. Simply not credible Bushie
Brisbane can offer things no other club can especially a club like the Raiders, corporate support, chance to be on TV every Friday night (big thing for ego driven kids), family is definitely a factor though.

A club that hopes to have Barba, Milf, DCE, Smith on top of the rest of their rep players simply doesn't work off the same playin field and cap as the rest of the comp

The Warriors are a one country team, and NZ is a huge talent pool.

Mostly yawnion players and even then they don't seem to have the same sense of entitlement to players born there that the Broncos do.

What's the go with the "entitlement" claim? What a load of shit.
