So following that logic he would have to quit playing football to justify missing home. He is always going to be away and if he makes rep teams later he is going to be away at times for his career.
Agree, does make a mockery of what Ayoub said months ago though that "would the Raiders take responsibility if something happened to his dad and he wasnt there", going by his comment he'd only be available for Broncos home games.

I still don't think that's the point. It is hard to dispute that the town your team is based in is where you will be a majority of the season. The point is staying at the raiders means he is away from brisbane basically the whole season.

If he plays for brisbane he is here 95% of the season

He's a professional athlete. He was always going to be away from home for periods.

Bottom line is that him living in Brisbane allows him substantially more time to be with his family.

You Raiders fans are so cynical.

It seems the only way you would believe he was homesick is if he moved to Brisbane, spent his life by his dads bedside and only played home games for the Broncos.

And even then, Raiders fans would be saying "saw him at the shops buying milk, bloody liar isn't homesick."

i was just commenting on the stupidity of one of Ayoubs tear jerk/guilt trip attempts, nothing about home sickness etc

Well obviously he would have to quit football all together. I mean he's gone for a few hours each game and then there's training...

Wasn't worded that way, more a case if he wasnt there when it happened.

We'll if he stays at the raiders that throws the whole homesick thing out the window.

imo he's on 180 not really homesick
broncos offer him 400 and 200 in third party payments, now he's homesick gets no answer when asking for a release.

raiders offer him 800 now he's got a decision to make.

if he was really homesick and that was his only consideration, broncos would only need to offer him 180

Are you for real? You have just come to a conclusion based solely on assumptions that you made up

This is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it

He doesn't have a decision to make. He has said he won't be returning to Canberra. Raiders think the Broncos will now have to offer him a million to get him. We will more than likely have to pay the same amount he is on now then upgrade when his contract would have been up at the Raiders. Just like with Barba.

Milford will probably sign with us for $180k for next season..
Then negotiate his contract for there after. And I can guarantee he won't be on anything near $1 million a season.

If this was purely about money, then he could have signed a massive deal with the Raiders months ago, but he and his manager refused to talk to the Raiders about a contract upgrade/extension because he isn't interested in staying in Canberra.
