[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

Edrick Lee yes but Wighton has a bung leg and no one will look at him until they see how he returns.
So someone hurts his leg once and it's considered a bung leg and not worth looking at despite being recognised as one of the best young talents in the game, yep if you say so:laugh:

Stuarts only objective for 2014 is to avoid another wooden spoon.

Bushman, you can't seriously believe that all this bad press about how the Raiders are treating Milford won't affect their ability to recruit from outside the club.

Surely anyone who can't jump on a trampoline without breaking a toe, can't be considered the best young talent.

They've never really had much luck recruiting outside of the club anyway and the bad press just seems to be coming from the Broncos aligned journalists the rest appear to be siding with the Raiders on this so far.

There's no way Stuart isn't picking Milford in the starting 17.

I really don't see all the fuss about Stuart as a coach. He's done nothing significant in a very long time. He can't take credit for Graham Murray's Roosters side that he baby sat to a premiership.

He may have had 1 decent season with the Sharks.

But he was sacked by the Roosters for turning them shit, sacked from the Sharks for turning them shitter, lost a couple of Origin series, but people talk like he won. And he ran Parramatta into the ground.

Why do the Raiders think he'll be any different?

It is a shame that round 1 can't be Broncos v Raiders at Suncorp.

A lot of us are dubious on Ricky has a mixed bag in the coaching stakes, but he is highly thought of within the league community just not by the fans. What he can bring to the Raiders though is passion, defence and discipline, 3 things we've been sorely missing, and hey it could be worse we could have Hook.

Did you miss the bit where Milford said he is NOT going back to Canberra, and will NOT be playing for them next season?

Hook's a rookie. What's Stuart's excuse?

I'll answer. I terrible case of shit cuntery.

Hooks been around the traps long enough mate and look how other rookie coaches have performed, he's a dud. I'm not a fan of Ricky's recent record and I was against signing him but I can a few potential benefits. Out of all the things Broncos fans can bag us out for though a poor coach ain't really one in comparison to your own.

Holdup..

Did you not watch Parra last season?

What the hell makes you think Ricky will bring good defence?

It's clear that the Raiders as players are a sensitive.

Ricky loves to throw his players under the bus and admit no fault of his own when times are tough.

How they respond will be interesting. Could have severe negative effects.

I'm not going to bag Raiders fans ! I consider they've suffered enough already. A staggering lack of success, a dreadful climate, politicians up the kazoo and Ricky Stuart as coach. All that and a club full of disharmony. Poor buggers. All the best guys !

That's always been his MO, Parra is a really hard one to judge him by, previous years wooden spooners who he then fucked up royally by tellin half of them they weren't wanted, very poor judgement and was always going to have a major effect on morale and effort. In his previous coaching history defence was always top notch though and he pioneered the way teams defend now days when he coached the Roosters.

I know what Milford has said.

There's just conflicting reports, as there has been for the entirety of this saga.

I was just referring to if it happens he does HAVE to stay and play in Canberra for 2014.

Parra were playing terrible long before he made that announcement.

Pioneered? I think you're being a bit generous there.

Hook did get us within one game of the GF in his first season. But we have failed to prepare well enough for Lockyer's retirement.

The signing of Scott Prince proved a bad decision.

But we are on the road to redemption. Through the signings of Barba, Kennedy, Vidot, Milford etc

If you're talking about Ayoubs comments that he will be at Canberra I think he's just being diplomatic and professional thinking about his own career, how many clubs will want to deal with him if he's seen to be encouraging a player via the media to break a contract.
