[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

Mentioned Hannant and the Coast since the Titans never seem to be an option as both you and Hannat have shown the distance isn't an issue so why are the managers so negligent towards their clients by not negotiating between the Titans and Broncos for the best deal, it's always purely only Broncos which adds to the perception I've previously mentioned.

Ask the Titans, in particular Searle who seems intent on sabotaging the club at every turn.

Him and Cartwright probably said no.

We're not talking simply changing clubs mate, it's breaking current contracts that's the issue.

So by that rationale everyone signed by GC has been let down by their management for not signing wit he broncos . I just does not make sense. Trying to make something of players being released before their contract have expired but mutual agreement is just plain dumb. It benefits both clubs as relives cap pressure for one , where enhancing the roster for the other. It's just that some clubs are too immature to see the writing on the wall.

Lol.

lol.

ok now that it's out of my system.

canberra times are owned by Fairfax. Fairfax has no ownership and pretty much nothing to do with the raiders.

courier mail are owned by news limited. Brisbane broncos are owned by news limited. News limited have a direct financial interest in the success of the broncos of course they are going to use both businesses they own to help each other.

we are not talking about local biased media we are talking about a news paper is owned by the same entity as the club. I expect it to be as unbiased as the Canberra raiders or broncos website.

as for Milford, IMO he will be great for Canberra next year , great for Brisbane for two years but then there will be dramas.
yeah mate , that's right he'll realise he's been duped and move straight back to Canberra. Hahahahahahaha.

They probably were interested but we must have threatened to kill his mother if they approached him

Im not talking signing im talking negotiations. If we're talking players who have to return home for home sickness it's a different scenario than players who negotiate normal contracts who are usually in negotiations with a few clubs, it would make sense for a manager to at least talk up that option to get the best price rather than basically saying Brisbane or bust. Can you see how that could affect people's perceptions.

So the fact that he has openly stated many times the broncos are the team he supports and the thought of wearing his idols jumper is appealing. Also, why would he go to the titans when their halves and fullback are set?

Negotiating tactic to raise his price which is 101 in negotiating contracts for every player manager, also he could fit in their fullback role pushing Zillman to the centres. It's not just Milf either it's every other "homesick" player.

Not saying anything dodgy has been done just trying to show why the perception outside of Brisbane is there.

But it's a ridiculous perception. The broncos are probably the most polarizing club going, you literally either love them or hate them. It's just tiresome discussing assumptions and hearsay that people have convinced themselves is fact

You've been on about being about the money since day 1 because it suited your argument . News flash . He has signed for less than he was offered by the raiders. So obviously playing for the broncos, and being in the same city as his family is more important to him.
you obviously find this hard to understand so you've fabricated a plot that is feasible to you. Fair enough . Just don't understand why you expect it to fly here. It would be like me going to the greenhouse and saying the raiders can't control their young talent . Oh wait!!!

No no he argued that away by saying we pay him under the table. More assumptions turned into fact

Seriously mate, it took me ten seconds to google this article from back then. Your argument is fallacy at best.
Searle echoed Cullen's sentiments. "He is a Test front-rower, he is a Gold Coast kid, so if it turns out that he wants to come home and the Bulldogs are prepared to let him we would certainly be interested in sitting down for a chat," Searle said.

"I guess there was a feeling around the place he would probably be heading back up here at the end of 2011. This obviously throws things forward a bit and to be honest it would be hard to have two marquee props fit within our salary cap.

"We are on the edge with our salary cap this year but we have eight or 10 blokes coming off contract at the end of the season, so that gives you more flexibility.

"We have always stated one of our aims is to bring back all the Gold Coast kids playing at other clubs."

No no no no no!!! That article doesn't fit the perception and comes from the Courier so can't be...oh!

So players don't have a choice of clubs? They must go to the highest bidder and shop around or else we have done something wrong? Obviously we are holding Parker against his will cos he never shops around.

Hannant lives on the Gold Coast but travels to brisbane for work??? Outrageous we have obviously done something dodgy there. I mean I personally live in brisbane but work at the GC... Obviously my company is dodgy as ****

I live in Brisbane and work in Brisbane, my company is evilness itself!!

Google is a wonderful thing when your memory fails.
I mean, Canberra fans are up in arms about the Broncs signing a homesick player. It's something they'd never do.
Oh, hello Matt Orford. What a coincidence the Faders signing him on the very day he got a release from Bradford.
Predictably, it all ended horribly but that was to be expected really.

Hypocrites much?

He signed for the Bradford Bulls on a three-year deal, starting in the 2010 season. However, his first season with the struggling Yorkshire club did not go well and was brought to an early finish due to Orford suffering a shoulder injury that would require surgery. He gained a release from the Bulls in order to return home to Australia.
Orford's release was officially granted on 10 January 2011, and he signed with the Canberra Raiders on the same day.

Well done sir! I wonder what the GH members think about that?

they only care if someone breaks a contract to leave them ... if they benefit from a broken contract, it is perfectly fine
