[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

So, a quote from a team-mate. Who doesn't know what contract obligations Milford has. Who hasn't even spoken to Milford about the situation. Is what they're basing the Raider's 'hope' on?

My favourite part was where he said that there are a fair few players off-contract who need to play well for a new one. Hate to say this boys, but Ricky's spent all the cap on a bunch of promising yet unproven outside backs. And an ageing backrower from Manly.

Round 13 is around about the time when Ricky Stuart's act starts to wear paper thin on his playing groups ... things will be fine.

And he'll wait til half through the year to publicly announce that half the squad will be cut next year, both derailing their season and destroying whatever chance those guys had of negotiating elsewhere

So this is a headline in News Ltd papers tonight

based on this McCrone quote

Deadline must have been coming up fast and nothing but crickets and an interview with a Raiders player no one cares about.

The Raiders have not given up hope Anthony Milford will decide to stay in Canberra | News.com.au

What rubbish journalism.

Interviewer: "great game tonight corey, what to you think of the cowboys team?"

Corey: "oh their a great team and I'm sure they are going to be able to achieve big things"

Interviewer: "they must have no trouble recruiting with the opportunity to play with guys like thurston there"

Corey: "no, I'm sure the don't"

Headline: Corey Parker eyes a move to North Queensland to achieve "big things".

I signed up to this forum to point out what should be very obvious about this tweet. Milford can easily remain a Raider, even for life, and still "[make] a break at Suncorp and [have] 40,000 [Backwardslanders] yelling Milf Milf Milf!!!" It's called State of Origin, and there is no doubt that Milford will be playing it in the near future no matter what club he plays at. Although having said that, moving to the Broncos could potentially destroy his career, so he'd be wise to consider that if he wants to play Origin.

Enough from you Ricky!

That's hilarious, especially given the fact he's playing at Canberra under Sticky!

How could it destroy his career? When he comes he will only get better.

There's only one club with an unchallenged record for ruining careers. We all know who that is. They now have the career ruining coach in place as well. Good luck sport.

Ricky Stuart would be the reason his career would be ruined.

Yeah, he's much better off staying at Canberra where his Origin career is sure to flourish. Just ask Campese, Shillington, White, Leahroyd-Lahrs...

Leave him alone, he's just making an argument that any of us would make if the tables were turned.

Coming home, closer to family and friends, better organisation, better roster, better crowds, better city, warmer climate..

Get out while you still can Milf, we're going to ruin your career.

Being at Canberra did wonders for Blake Ferguson's career.

Yeah, and josh dugans career has really gone to shit since he left the raiders.

The broncos also have a terrible record when it comes to producing origin players... Poor milf is doomed
