[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

Sure is a lot of spondarelli............big risk but I'd say we could attract a fair bit in third party deals, so the effect to our cap may not be too bad.
 
Its a bs number pulled out of his backside to get people talking about it.

Given that theres another 9 rounds and the exponential nature of these supposed offers, come round 13 there will be a last minute offer of $2.375m per year to stay in Canberra.
 
It's probably rubbish...but it's also Ricky Stuart. He's been known to go full retard.
 
I think what they're saying with the extra $50k is that if the Raiders offer $1.2 mill, then the Broncos will offer $1.25 mill, ie, trump their offer by $50k. Which is a load of rubbish because Ricky is the one who famously said that he just hoped the Broncos were going to have him under the cap for whatever the Raiders offered (insinuating that he was only offering outrageous amounts in order to make us spend more of our cap).

It is all misinformation and falls in line with my thought that Ricky & the Raiders are leaking BS in order to destabilise Milfords's relationship with us.

I can't see us matching the Raiders offer ... they may increase our offer but i still doubt they will get near the Raiders reported offer

2nd post since joining....................Ricky sucks! He is a sore loser, whinger and a hypocrite.
 
Moreover, We shouldn't match a ridiculous offer from the Raiders, There is one certain way to Buttfuck a clubs harmony . bring in a 20 year old who's on double the money of anyone else.

On the same token milford would also ask himself why the broncos didn't want a bar of him when he was kid believing he was to small, and his talent didn't offset that size issue when he was a kid.

If you are inferring that the raiders are to hard ball with their negotiations re player salaries in comparison to the broncos, surely that is not serious?

Also keeping in mind that we work of a NRL salary cap say 6.5m or whatever it is now plus pitiful third party amounts say a mil or two. Whereas the broncos have at least twice that in third parties available, I think most people would be comfortable in estimating they have a lot lot more.

Also the players aren't naïve, they know if milf is being offered 1-1.2 from the raiders he would be offered close to that if not more at the broncos (even if a lot less is under the cap) so wherever he goes you are going to deal with player wage issues that you might deal with anywhere, but obviously both clubs think he is worth that much so that's why they are offering so much.

All in all, I don't think the raiders look like the bad guys in this at all.
 
The funny part is that the Raiders will have **** all third party money to offer, at least when compared to the Broncos.

This all reeks of Sticky business going full retard... and I wouldn't even be too suprised if Ayoub is also leaking shit in the background as well.

Sounds like BS to me when we know the Broncos chose Nikorima ahead of Milford as a 13 year old. Size is a non issue and you bringing it up reeks of you talking out your bum.
 
Perhaps Milford showed sweet **** all back then and Broncos felt they were better off with Nikorima...

Let's not rewrite history here. Broncos showed interest last time his contract was negotiated but were outbid by the Raiders. That doesn't constitute "not wanting a bar of him". When he was younger? Maybe, maybe not, but he wasn't the first kid to be knocked back on size, and won't be the last. If he did feel any ill-will towards the Broncos for being snubbed in his mid-teens he wouldn't have chosen to sign with us in 2015, would he?

I thought this was a kid that wanted to come back to Brisbane? I think the Raiders are offering that much because they dont have anything else to offer, and im not trying to be rude or make Canberra sound like a bad place, so apologies if i offend anyone.
The Broncos have more to give (biased much? :tape:) with regards to money, lifestyle, third-party deals etc.

It is very similar to the Barba situation in respect to wanting to come home for family reasons, and I personally dont see Milford being a greedy kid who wants all the money.

I know if i was in his situation, I would prefer to come back home and get paid $500K or whatever it is, then sign on for more money in a place that i dont want to live in and away from my family. (Yes i know they got moved down there, but i dont think it is EVERYONE in his family).

I dont think he will renege on his deal, and he will be a livewire for the Mighty Broncos.
 
Isn't the whole Broncos choosing Nikorima over Milford debatable? I've read several articles discussing that, but also several other articles stating that by the time the Broncos discovered Milford, he was already signed by the Raiders. And the dates don't match up either, as Nikorima was signed at age 15, Milford 13.
