That's what Lockyer was saying - Parker, Gillett, Te'o, McQueen. All back-rowers on the bench. I honestly thought he was saying it to take the heat off the debate by bluffing a bit. I never thought it was a likelihood.

A bench of Te'o , Parker, Gillett and McQueen is terrible. I would prefer if they shifted Myles to Prop and Started Te'o. Bench of Shillington, Parker, McQueen and Papalii

I definitely think it's going to be either Nielson or O'Neill to replace Boyd, won't be anyone else (I'd much prefer Chambers or Lee), I also think our best option would be -
8) Scott
10) Myles
11) Thaiday
12) Harrison
13) Parker
14) Shillington
15) Te'o
16) Gillett
17) Papalli

I agree unbreak, I reckon Shillington works better off the bench where he isn't expected to get through as much defence and can make in-roads against tired defensive lines.
Alec - Yeah, I'm not keen on having 3 fringe forwards on the bench either - who would you rather?

I'd take McGuire or Kennedy. I know there isn't much you can do with Hannant out injured...but there are only 2 edge positions on the field, and they play longer minutes. We need more than 1 middle third runner on the bench.

Wow some people really rate Edrick lee dont they. handful of games and already hes ready for origin. give me a break. to replace boyd my preference in order would be chambers / gagai / graham / nielsen / oniell

Agree, but just ditch option 3... should never be considered. Apart from anything else, he's retiring this year. Why bother when you can blood a youngster like Chambers, Gagai or O'Neill (Nielsen has been tried...was rather mediocre).

Personally I'd have Lawrence or Lillyman ahead of McGuire and Kennedy. I just don't think the latter two are ready yet, and we're better off sticking with a player with more experience and who's in better form.
Te'o would be my pick out of that lot and I'd have him before Papalii. Papalii maybe in better form, but Te'o has achieved more in his career and is already familiar to the Origin environment as well as the stadium - Papalii maybe over-awed.

O'Niell should be a very very distant last resort. I find it incredible his name is even being suggested considering the total owning ferguson gave him 2 weeks ago, and ferguson is the very man he would be facing in origin. The kid cant defend and can read the attack about as well as I can read korean.
