According to Maths, with the % probability of winning each game factored in, we have a 1.7% chance of making the finals. I did the sums 3 times :(

yeh its next to impossible that we'll be making the finals. nothing short of a miracle will get us there.
this year, since probably 10 rounds ago, has been about preparing fro next year. dumping the tards, signing some good players, and giving hunt a shot finally.

Exactly. That has to remain the focus. If by some miracle we scrape into the finals, well that's on one hand a bonus, on the other it might paper over some of the deeper issues that need to be resolved.
So in a way, I'd like to see that improvement continue, win the majority of our remaining games, but we still just miss out.

Did your maths factor in the Sharks getting docked? That would be the miracle we need. But I agree its probably better long term if we miss the eight and are forced to make some tough decisions to improve for next year. We scraped in last year and only got worse because of it.

I feel the same way. All i want to see is an improvement on what we have done this year so far. At the moment we dont deserve to play finals footy. If we win the next six games and play some good football then we will deserve a spot in the 8.
In saying that though if we dont sign Milford or Barba or both I can see us being in the same situation next year.

As much as I'd love to see Milford in our team, you can't expect a young rookie to step into a struggling team and fix anything. All it will do is put the kid under a heap of pressure. Barba has the ability to change our teams prospects instantly. I really hope we get both. Barba will carry the brunt of the expectations and Milford can shine without the pressure.

How did warriors and bulldogs get so low. I wouldn't be shocked if warriors won every game going forward.

Which is probably not an unreasonable prospect...the top 3 or 4 teams are so far ahead of the rest it's almost laughable...good ol' salary cap, doin' it's thing!!

Reality says that we won't win more than 10 games which will probably keep us close to the bottom 4, won't be any better than that.

How i see the run home with my head instead of my heart.
Knights (a) - Win, Snowden and Mason are missing which loses a lot of muscle up front, plus we have a great record against Bennett coached teams
Dragons (h) - Win, keep Dugan in check and we will win
Eels (h) - Win, will be tough as Parra seem to play pretty well against us
Panthers (a) - Win, I think Penrith are starting to fall apart after a purple patch
Knights (h) - Win, they will smart after their defeat from tomorrow night
Bulldogs (h) - Loss, Barba and the desperation of the Bulldogs will be back
If that happens we will finish on 28 points and will scrape in on points difference.
