Looking at the ladder and draw, I would say that 30 points is going to be the cut off this year. Eels, Warriors and Cowboys have easier draws. Need to win 4/5 to make it, unless two of those teams really shit the bed.

some players think the broncos will give the finals a real shake. surely they know they have to make the 8 first. delusional.

from watching qcup today even those sides look faster and more structured than the broncos.

Warriors will get there. Most of the other sides seem to be going up a gear and the Broncos are waning.

It was always going to be really tough once we dropped that game against Penrith.

Shouldn't have dropped the game against Cronulla either, but that's another story altogether.

Still, anything is possible and you never know. If they can upset Canterbury & Souths, they maybe in with a shot but it's difficult envisioning them finding the form they require to beat both.

Bulldogs should be the easiest of the "tough matches" we had left since 2 weeks ago, but they are also the team whose forwards always seem to dominate ours.

Hodges said post match something to the effect that we have a great team"on paper" , and if we got to the finals we could really give it a shake. I wish this were true ,but the more I see them play the more obvious it it's to me that we lack the players to really be competitive with the better teams at this business end of the season. No team can play to the absolute best of their ability every week. And that's what we would have to do to make the eight,let alone be a force in the finals. Let's face it we lack size,pace , and organization.I think one measure of a teams class is its ability to sore tries from their own half.We rarely do that.Barba was bought into the team do give us more in that department but has been a real disappointment. We do have some very talented players, ( Hunt,Parker , Hodges,Copley), Just not enough of them.IMO we won't make the eight.

IMO we are a team whose whole adds up to less than the sum of its parts. Whereas a team like the Dogs is very much the opposite.

The reason too is obvious - coaching. That's where I'm hoping WB will have his biggest effect.
