POST GAME [Round 1, 2022] Broncos vs Rabbitohs

Didn’t do much right either

Him absorbing 50+ tackles per game in the middle is certainly something.

It's essentially the exact same as what McCullough did here for 5 years. He's never going to be anything else. If we want a bit more creativity out of dummy half we should run Paix & Walters there. I can see merit in both options.

I know you rated Palasia highly on the 3,2,1’s but I’d still have Kobe at lock and Carrigan prop. Kobe is a gun and needs to be lock. Not taking anything away from Keenan though he was fucken massive and so under talked about. Reliable as hell just he isn’t quite Kobe who will make this side way better, again.
Yeah Kobe in for Kennedy but goes to 13 and Keenan comes off the bench.. Keenan was massive and I think he played big minutes with shorter bursts off the bench he could add some impact replacing the middles. Kobe was one of the best in the trials and looks to have gone up a level

Souths absolutely missed Reynolds and I can't help but to think if we had him out there for us, it's probably a one sided game

When Walker started to struggle with injury mid way through that first half i knew we had them beaten. If he is missing for any length of time they are screwed big time.

I think an 11-4 win is better than a 30-18 win. We had to win dirty, which we have not been able to do for years.

Additionally, as capewell said in the presser, there were a couple of tries that we just missed with execution, so if those chances start sticking, we are looking a lot more classy.

Gritty win is exactly what we needed, and to do it without Reynolds will give us much needed confidence to start the year.

Capewell was awesome, just a footy player, can play anywhere and do a job. You won’t see a better FG either from a terrible pass.

I think Kelly did enough to partner Reynolds and Billy is the perfect 14 and will give us some much needed spark out of 9.

Still think Herbie is a winger, it’s no coincidence that it took capewell to lay the try on for Oates with a simple draw & pass. If capewell is running that decoy instead I doubt Herbie gets the ball away to oates.

Palasia has carried on his good form from last year, he’s one of those underrated middle rung forwards that we have been after for the last few years, hopefully he stays injury free.

We probably faded a bit in the middle 40 but understandable considering we have Flegler & Hetherington to come back.

Isaako was still probably more rocks than diamonds, Tesi has errors in him too, but I think he’s got more upside as well.

Roberts was a waste of a bench spot.

We missed out on another four tries in my eyes, it could well have been a very lop sided game but I actually think the gritty nature of that win will be more of a positive.

Mansour is cooked I reckon, ever since he did his knee years ago he hasn't wanted to leap for a ball and against a younger athletic winger like Cobbo, every team will be lining him up

I remember against the Cows a while ago Kyle Feldt gave him an aerial bath

Absolutely agree. I loved that we had to fight hard for the win. Does alot for our confidence
