Just watched the press conferences from both coaches. Surely JD would be a strong candidate for a Guinness record for World's Biggest Ears?
As someone with an oversized body part myself I don’t think it’s very nice to make fun of someone for something they can’t help. Poor JD can’t really hide his ears, at least I can hide my freakishly large penis with a pair of pants,

I feel that Palasia's efforts have been overshadowed somewhat by how good Haas and Carrigan were.

But he made 129m and 31 tackles himself.

I'm glad he turned down a bigger more secure offer from Manly to stay loyal ... it has been reported recently that he turned down a 4 year, 250k per season offer from Manly, Instead signing a 1 year 200k contract with us
Yeah. Particularly given his injury history i thought he may have gone for the contract with greater security.

He was good last year too, both starting and off the bench. If he and flegler are our bench props, I dont think we will have the same drop in metres that we did on Friday.

Crazy thing is, he's 25 so he's a late bloomer. You'd think he'd jump at a long term offer but he's really backing himself.

Hopefully he stays under the radar and can be a high value 300-400k forward for us.

Turpin is a bit of a problem. Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist though, hear me out.

Yes he tackled his arse off, which is great. Yes he offered very little in attack, which is not great.

But what worries me more is that I counted at least 5 passes on Friday night where he didn't take the fraction of a second to look up before he passed, which meant he passed to a forward who had a rushing defence in his face.

Last year, we’d drop that ball and put ourselves under pressure. Whilst we didn’t this week, I don’t want to keep testing the theory.

He needs to be A LOT better at his pass selection.

The blood redistribution away from your brain would explain why a lot of your posts are pure garbage.

Which also explains why all my posts are fucking mint.

That's the long way of saying he is Andrew McCullough

If anyone was at the game and was catching the Caboolture train after the game and saw someone coming down the stairs to the platform, jumping from 5 steps up and fucking up the landing and fucking themselves up in the process by hitting the ground hard...

That was me.
wasnt you streaking after the game?

Isaako overestimated Roberts' arm. Next time a field goal is on Capewell should go to dummy half. He has the longest pass in the team.
Roberts needed to turn his body so he was passing right to left .
Because he tried the left to right and a spin pass he fcked it up .

Now normally I wouldn`t advise turning your back when passing . But in that case it was on .

I wouldn’t give Cobbo more than a five, he made more mistakes than anything. Reminded me of watching Isaako out there. I’m sure he’s got talent and he’ll be a goer, but last night was not his night in attack, his defence was better though.

I assume Kelly will be picked to partner Reynolds, so Billy should be the 9 and Turpin should be 14 next week.

Roberts, Kennedy and Robati should only make the team if there are no other options.
Main difference between Cobbo and Isaako is that Cobbo looks like he knows what to do and isn't afraid of charging into the line. Same cannot be said for Isaako.

Kotoni had a bit of an error ridden shocker by his standards, but he and Herbie got about the same amount of ball. I don't think we can blame the halves for much.

Staggs: 16 receipts, 10 passes. 8 runs, 79 metres.
Farnworth: 15 receipts, 5 passes. 10 runs, 76 metres.

They both defended well. Herbie made more tackles and missed fewer, Kotoni defused a kick.

We've come to expect a higher standard from Kotoni than Herbie. Hence why everyone's saying he had a pretty ordinary game. They both contributed to the win with strong defence.
I don't really remember too much that Herbie did other than a few runs but certainly can't fault him for anything. That's 5 more passes than 2021!

I'm cutting Jake, Kotoni and Herbie some slack for their defensive efforts. That's what Kevvie said he wanted. That's what he got.

Turps is always great after a long break and then progressively gets worse, lets not forget that. He'll play round 2 though.

He’ll get the spot but let’s hope Paix doesn’t ride the bench if he isn’t get at least 30 otherwise I’d rather him get his confidence up in cup and get some fitness playing 80.
