POST GAME [Round 12, 2024] Broncos vs Titans

Neither our defence nor the officiating was NRL standard today.

I would like to know one thing though ... Regarding the knock on rulings against Jock and Cobbo, have they officially changed that interpretation or is it one of their usual one-off game changes .... Because in those situations they have for the last 5 years been ruling that if a tackler makes contact with the ball while attempting a tackle it is not played at hence play on. Not how they ruled today
What do you mean? You have it around the wrong way, they have been consistent with that application of the rules for probably 20 years now.

Well done @The Don The Sunday Titans curse is real.

That win was indicative of where the Broncos are at. Plenty of strike, but when they're not scoring they're in trouble and their attack isn't good enough to compensate for that. Just a lot of bad decision making on the day and it exposed a lot of issues that have to be addressed moving forward.

I don't think anyone had a good game today, even Kevie made some bad choices.

Well that was shit.

I love Oatsy but **** me he’s no longer a winger.

Can we please respect the footy and opposition. Kept letting them back in and look what happened

They have Erin Clark who I swear to God is the greatest player of all time in post context metres I have ever seen
Small stocky middle forwards kill us every time... Clark, Sele, Havili, etc. they roll through and always seem to find a quick ptb to have us on the back foot.

Clark is titans best forward eveytime he plays us

It's the opposite. Any contact in a tackle is a knock on and it's been that way for a decade at least.

Only if you haven't been watching rugby league for the last 5 odd years.

With the Jock one I certainly don't get the explanation of them seeing if the Titans player had passed.

Both times I thought ripper we’ve got a try. I swear you’re right and I had seen it ruled the other way only a couple of weeks ago? Might be remembering things wrong though.

Yeah they changed the interpretation way back in 2007 after Joey called Cecchin a naughty word. There was far too much inconsistency around it and I remember there being some pretty controversial calls not long after.

re signing billy may get ugly, does his dad have the balls to drop him if he continues on this slide?

I think they were trying to say if the ball was still in his hand at the point when Jock touched it then fair enough, bad pass? 🤷🏿‍♂️

Oh well I am not back into Brisbane until 27th of July and apparently Rosie was hiding on my mum's bed

I guess the good thing about our defense is that it can only get better! It’s all about our attitude in defense and our line speed.

I still don't know how Karapani managed to throw that shocking final pass into the stands. You couldn't have thrown it that badly if you tried.

Hard to pinpoint one moment that cost us the game but it was most likely that one. Would have got us out to a decent lead and potentially could have held on. Maybe...

You have it completely backwards, they've called it as they did today for years. Any touch is a knock on.

I think some of you are listening a bit too much to the awful Fox commentary team.

The Titans had missing:
Foran, Boyd, Tino, J.Fifita, Brimson, Campbell and Sami

We had missing:
Staggs, Reynolds, Arthars, Hoeter, Sailor, Pereira and Te Kura

I'm not trying to downplay how bad today's performance was but even so, we are running on empty and our depth has been decimated, need a rest desperately to let some of the niggles improve. The Titans played well but the biggest thing aside from our awful defense today was that the Titans got every single 50/50 and 75/25 call they could have got. If even one of those calls went out way, we probably win even playing as bad as we did.
