It's called a DVR... :finger:

DVR SHH-ME-VR. By the time I get home I will probably find out the results one way or another.

Maybe I should put my phone in Airplane mode and buy a set of ear plugs till I get home and watch it haha.
If you text me the results I may have to file a report to the police for sporting spoilers harassment :P

petro, hannant, hodges & thaiday all not named

BRONCOS: Josh Hoffman, Gerard Beale, Jack Reed, Matt Gillett, Dale Copley, Corey Norman, Peter Wallace, Scott Anderson, Andrew McCullough, Josh McGuire, Alex Glenn, Ben Te'o, Corey Parker. Interchange: Ben Hunt, David Hala, Dunamis Lui, Mitchell Dodds

**** having Gillett in the centre..

Still looks competitive, hopefully Smith doesn't back up seeing he has the flu and at leats one of Slater or Cronk gets a rest as well due to a niggle or something.

yeah if smiths flu is as as the media say, i reckon he might get a rest.

mcguire is hopefully primed and can play close to 80mins. parker and glenn will play 80. teo should put in 60. so that only leaves real rotation to anderson and the nuffies. wouldnt mind seein hala fire up!

Still a bloody good side even without the names. We should definitely be competitive.

I'm not a fan of Anderson starting, and the bench lacks experience, but not a bad side considering

My own opinion only, but I am more concerned about Gillett in the centres than anything else

Would have preferred to have him in his usual role and play someone from U20's or Qld Cup who is a centre - don't know who that would be though!

I agree.

We still have our 'spine' intact, so that's a real plus for our attack.

If we can defend well and strangle them, we should win it.

None of the 20s are ready for a call up.

There are three options. Whitchurch, Nat Barnes or Maranta & I spose Hook's too concerned to play a rookie against a Bellamy coached side.

I don't mind the Gillett selection, just as long as Hook's prepared to alternate him & Te'o a bit like he used to.

Also depends a bit on how much work Gillett does on Wednesday. You wouldn't want him in the middle with tired legs, but you also don't want him having to make a crucial defensive play 2-in late in the game with tired legs either. We saw what happens in that situation...notwithstanding Gillett would've learnt from that.

It does make me nervous, but he's the best of the available options at the moment. The loss of Yow Yeh, Gagai and Kahu is hurting our outside back depth at the moment.

Yep. If it was anybody but the Storm (even more so in Melbourne) I think Barnes or Whitchurch would of been given a run.

I'd still rather have Glenn over Gillett as our fill in centre, but I think I went on about that last week.

Agree with resting the bulk of our players but this is going to be a really tough period of the season for us. If Hook persists with the resting policy, we'll be without our Origin blokes for four matches in total.

Storm (rested), Roosters (enforced), Cowboys (rested) and Sharks (enforced). The first three are all on the road too..

Storm: 1. Billy Slater 2. Matt Duffie 3. Dane Nielsen 4. Will Chambers 5. Justin O’Neill 6. Gareth Widdop 7. Cooper Cronk 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Cameron Smith (c) 10. Jason Ryles 11. Bryan Norrie 12. Ryan Hinchcliffe 13. Todd Lowrie
Interchange: 14. Anthony Quinn 15. Rory Kostjasyn 16. Michael Greenfield 17. Jaiman Lowe 18. Luke Kelly 19. Maurice Blair 20. Kenny Bromwich

Their pack looks terrible at the moment.

Yeah, but ours won't exactly be great either, with Thaiday and quite possibly Civo and Hannant out. Other than that, they've got by far the best spine in the competition, some great backs, a coach who gets the full 80 minutes out his side each week, and some of the classiest defence in the comp. It'll take a monster performance for us to win.

Hannant should back up.

Either way, it's an area where we can definitely beat them.

Yeh Hannant is usually keen to back up. I'm fairly certain he will if he doesnt get an injury.

I'd like to see Petro and Hannant back up but with reduced minutes. Probably depends how they feel though I still think they are a chance of playing. Rather see Te'o in the centres ahead of Gillett. The experiment works well in attack but is shithouse in defence.

the biggest downside this week is melbourne losing to the sharks last round. if they were still undefeated we might of grabbed them at a good time but two losses in a row for the storm is a different ask.

that said, i am still feeling quite confident. though smith's 'flu' might have been a bit of a media beat up though. he was supposedly 'in isolation' yesterday but there was a photo posted on twitter of the team at someones house for dinner last night, smith smack in the middle. cant of been that sick..

gillett - i doubt plays more than 30 mins tomorrow night. he's young. first origin. fresh. he'll be 100% on friday.

i reckon hannant plays.
