The live thread is always full of emotion, but I loved Cobbo’s involvement tonight. He did plenty of great things, dampened by plenty of errors.

Wolfie mentioned the same about Staggs; he wasn’t great, but his involvement was high, his defence was good.

Plug Walsh into this game and it changes everything; he doesn’t get dominated like Sailor does, he takes better options, he poses threats that open up other players.

Plug Reynolds into this game and it changes everything; Maddens kicking game was putrid, not just the actual kicking, but the positioning of where he kicks from

We are missing, quite literally, the 2 biggest cogs in this team. We all need perspective that we can’t have a system that adequately replaces BOTH of these players. Walsh without Reynolds and vice versa, we can patch together wins. Both of them out and it’s game over which is the same for any team in the comp.

There is NO team that has ever won an NRL premiership without their 2 best players and it’s crazy to suggest that we are any different.

No one is suggesting that we can win a premiership without Reynolds and Walsh but to excuse the performances of the last few weeks because they’re not there is ridiculous.

We will be out of the top 8 at the end of this round and that’s not good enough.

Walsh won't change shit for the Broncos. The are supposed to bigger than an individual. It's a team game.

It's on the coaching, brains trust. It was really painful to watch a team trying, but imploding.
 
Rogers has to be given a shot again.
Piakura is a pretender.
Not sure why Jack Gosiewski gets a walk up start on the bench.
We look too light in many positions ie Marina, Piakura.
We don't want to do the hard yards and find our fronts and get qptb
Kevie has no structures in place.

The infuriating thing is that Madden has those kicks in his locker, he has used them before.

This is part of the issue.

Melbourne without Munster. Riff without Cleary. Both are still top 8 teams, heck, you could take out Paps and Yeo and they'd still finish in the top eight.

The squad at the very minimum needs to be hanging onto the ball and defending well enough to scratch out tough wins without their stars. If you don't have that, you're riding on luck.
 
Maybe we should try not always finding many positives in games, Kev.

Sometimes there isn't any and we need to highlight it.

Agree the performances good enough, but I don’t think you are fully appreciating how much of a difference both of them make to our everyday running.
