Round 26 Broncos vs Storm - Pre Game Discussion

That's definitely where the wheels started coming off but the season still had plenty of hope, after all, the Sharks managed to beat the Roosters in similar circumstances as well as Penrith twice. However, the losses to Penrith, Manly, Melbourne & Souths did us in well and truly. For me, we had to win at least one of those to be a chance.

Souths being the final game was the nail in the coffin.

Have no fear, the Broncos are more than capable of beating Melbourne in Melbourne. It's just another football ground and I believe they will start well and end well. The only way is for us to lose this is for Griffin to misuse his bench in his typical Griffinesque way. Kennedys going to be an asset from now on and his self belief is growing. I'm hoping Griffin can see sense and get him on at the twenty minute mark thereabouts and also get the energetic Oates on around the same time. Better still, start Kennedy alongside McGuire. Hannant can replace Kennedy then.

If Griffin strikes a good balance and gets more out of his bench then we very definitely can win. Like others have said, heart says yes but the punter in me says, get on the Storm.

The 2006 side couldn't even beat Melbourne in Melbourne. What fucking hope does this side have?

We will find out next Friday, I suppose. I'll be putting money on the Storm to win by 13+

Had no chance of winning that afternoon. Salary cap drama or not, Brisbane had too many injuries and were 'too shit' to ever hope to compete with that Melbourne Juggernaut.

Next minute...

The same hope the 2010 side has?

The salary cap drama, no Cameron Smith and some favorable calls.

We will be playing against a Storm side that are just as desperate for a win as they have ever been. They don't want to miss the finals.

Neither do the Broncos.

The Broncos were longer odds on that occasion and still pulled through on the day.

It's not going to be easy and not many are expecting a win but I don't see the sense in writing them off so maliciously.

Hope you continue to lose more money.

BTW boys, best way to fix the silly mug superstition is to keep drinking out of it until they win. It will happen eventually:takdir:

Come on guys there are better ways to go about this, how about instead of them getting injured, the refs just do a Gillett on side sin bin on all three.

How about we build a time machine and not lose to the Sharks.

I have had to stop betting on the Broncos to win ... every time i do they lose (even the un-losable)

Given both teams will be desperate I would give us a 35% chance of winning and in my time I have seen plenty of upsets so I won't be writing them off until the match is finished.
Knocking them out of the eight would be a great payback for the last decade

I hope the God of Rugby League will make it happen! (even if he no longer plays for us)

I hope Melbourne play the game of their lives but we play better and send them for an early season finish. That would make me smile.

A true fan would never bet against his team even in a tipping comp IMO. I put 3 grand on them today at 3.60, it is money I don't expect to recoup but it will be a 10 grand bonus if the impossible happens. Don't bet against the Broncos SF, u should never benefit from your team's failures IMO.

You do not understand the reasons why I did put money on the Storm.

This "true fan" crap gets old, though.

I'm a season member, I go to all of their home games, sometimes I even fork out hundreds of dollars to go watch them play in other states, I cheer them on whenever they are on TV, I buy merchandise whenever I can, I collect footage of their games and I will always support them.

How is that not a "true fan"?

Stop betting against them and you will be the ultimate "true fan". You are almost there, I know you can do it :)
