POST GAME Round 6 - Broncos vs Roosters

Milford had his best game in a LONG time. Still has a token lost ball or two, but good signs, and good to see him smiling.

To be fair, he copped a hammering. Hard to hold onto the ball when you're blindsided like that.

Pretty sure he got that call from the sideline bloke. They usually never make a call these days

Decision comes down to the ref, though. He was right there.

I was also impressed with the way the team just kept going with that very nice attack when Kodi came on. I like Kodi and Milf in the halves without detracting from Hunt's contribution tonight

the ref was in a perfect position to see the pass ... and he goes with the guy 60m away. that ref should not be in first grade next week that decision was that bad

Nikorima was good
He did a dummy half run on our 20 which was a very good run

Also was so surprising to see Sutton not screw us over. Maybe he felt bad.

Moga had some baddd plays tonight but he didn't implode and kept trying. He got his revenge on ferguson too. So it's hard to slam him for his mistakes. Earned some respect in my eyes.

Yeah must have heard it in his ear and just panicked

If he panics by hearing the touch judge in his ear ... then he needs to go back 3 or 4 grades, because he is no where near first grade standard

There has been some stinkers though forward pass wise this year. Usually them not getting called. We had one go our way with Roberts to Kahu against the Cowboys. Thankfully this one didn't affect the game like for instance the one the Panthers got against them a few weeks ago. That sideline bloke was dropped

Meh they go for us sometimes. Good sides don't let it affect the result. Like tonight

I was happy to see the win and more importantly the performance in attack. Macca was deserved of that man of the match if ever there was one. His was a captains knock, even if he doesnt have the title (not that im knocking boyd).whilst moga's defence was dreadful early on, and may yet cost him his spot, you cant but admire the way he threw himself into the game regardless. Some players, some of them broncos, will let a bad mistake get to them, and just fade away. Its couragous to take it on the chin and keep going. Speaking of courage, that tackle by hunt was something special. I think if they needed inspiration, that would have given it to them. I thought knick was great in attack, and although his defence worries me, if it can be managed, he will bring much needed spark to the attack. Milford tried hard, which in itself was a turnaround, and although not perfect was very good. I hope he can step up as senior playmaker, and believe he showed enough to suggest he can do just that. Forwards were great, especially the young ones. Id leave them ad they are for now. Hopefully esesse can build on his first start, but he was very good nonetheless. Bring on the titans!
