POST GAME Round 6 - Warriors vs Broncos

Didn’t get to see the game, was Bird actually really good? How did he kick or did Milford take most of them?
Milford did most kicking. Macca did a bit from first receiver. Bird did some attacking kicking, was calm and generally found open space with smart kicks.

Right now I have to head back morkels posted in our Religious Discussion Thread, so time for an argument. Cheers guys.

So watched the replay and Boyd was not to blame.

He played the odds that he was on the right side of the post to get the rebound or run onto it if it missed.

Short of him running through the post I don’t know what he could have done.

Attack looked better but 2 tries were from individual brilliance

Where are you watching it? The app won't let you watch a reply if your not with telstra, I'm spitting chips

I've got a Fox Sports website digital subscription. No live games but the replays are available to stream 12 hours later.

I wonder if Wayne can see what we can see.

Probably not. The bloke's only been coaching in the national comp for 30 years for 7 premierships, with the benefit of seeing the players including the reserves almost every day and doing detailed video work. That's bugger all in comparison to being on the internet, especially those of us who sometimes also read courier mail articles.

As an outsider looking in do you think he'd be better if he did read the papers, maybe someone could mention it to him.

So what your saying is there is no excuse for using old, tired and injured players instead of those we see can make a difference. Fair enough.

It's been suggested this becomes a regular thing, home team hosts the game day thread, bet remains standing each time. Loser gets to moan about shit refereeing decisions, winner gets to tell them it's their shit team not the ref. Seems like a marriage made in heaven. Management from both sites up for it so sounds like fun.
That said I might spend some time here during the year if that's ok. Right now I have to head back morkels posted in our Religious Discussion Thread, so time for an argument. Cheers guys.
What , Morkel has posted in your religious thread? There goes your data allowance for the month

To be fair he's just dipped his toe, no thesis yet, but we're stockpiling supplies for the attack.

Almost 24 hours later, does the glorious victory still taste sweet, our lot generally seem to be taking it OK, keeps going back to the "would we have taken 5/1 record before the start of the year." Obviously that's a giant Hell yes.

FTR.....it's the only reason Morkel joined your forum. He's not allowed to post in the religious thread we have, because he becomes so emotionally invested.

He's joined several forums for this same very reason ....I've heard.

We need to pay him like a backrower even if he stays out on the wing.

That's the bit I don't get....from the wing, he CAN play like a backrower, at least in attack. Defensively, he's better off on the wing. His frail body, almost demands that he stays out there.

.....it has to be about money. I really can't see why a winger and a backrower, of equal talent, can't get the same sized contract. If anything, it's harder to come across talented wingers than it is backrowers. Both have vital roles to play within the team.

I find that the wing position tends to be criminally under-rated by many people including fans, clubs and even the players themselves (how often do we see these days players wanting to move from wing).

having a quality winger is a real asset to any team IMO

Big improvements last night. So proud of how the boys turned the last few preformances around. Bird was great, never overplayed his hand and was steadfast in defense. Milf was good in my opinion, his kicking and game management was not unnoticed. A bit more running and i can see him firing soon.

Luckily we have just the right kind of nut jobs to take him on. When you follow a team as erratic as the Warriors the social forums are often busier than the footy ones. There are only so many ways to say "we suck" and so many ways to demand the coach and some players get sacked. Arguing about religion, gay marriage and the best colour jellybean is like taking a mental health day.

FFS.....whatever you do, don't get Morkel started on coloured jellybeans!
