Doubt he’d say that if he was still on the pay roll
Yeah as an employee you can't make those type of statements. However, I am sure he knows and is on friendly terms with some players so I appreciate him not pulling any punches. He always comes across as having a lot of integrity. He had his career cut short and was let go after covid. I hope he finds something moving forward as he deserves some good luck.

Jesus Christ, if anyone can sit through this Seibs interview, credit to you. I think I’d throw up at the verbal diarrhoea we all know he will be dishing out on 7 tonight.

Why is anyone surprised nothing will change? Coates will get dropped for playing a decent game, that isn't acceptable at present.

Potentially back to full strength by Round 10.. That's promising.

With that being said, I don't even know what full strength is anymore, so many under-performers.

Is Ofahengaue in our best 17 when back? Probably not.
Is Lodge? Based on recent weeks, I'd say no.
Is Turpin? Probably, but I think Luke has offered more in his first 2 games than Turpin did in his limited opportunities.

Why the loyalty to Croft? Why did they make him the f’ing captain. He is closer to worst bronco of all time than best. He could quite easily be one of the worst halfbacks we’ve ever fielded. He makes me miss Brett Seymour ffs.
I am speechless, I am without speech.

I think it is a bit harsh to dump everything on Croft. We are asking him, a relatively young and inexperienced half to take control of an utter shambles in the middle, something that for mine has been brewing since we let Hunt go and failed to bring in an experienced hooker and half a few years ago. We had 2 promising halves in Dearden and Paix. We had a promising hooker in Turps. But they can hardly be expected to lead around a new side. Croft was not what we needed. The club has failed the team, the coach and we fans for not planning for the future when Hunt left.

Again for mine, it is up to Luke to take over the leadership in the middle, work with Croft, Milford and our FB to bring order to the chaos that is our middle and edges. We saw what we can do v Titans when Luke worked with Croft and TPJ on the right edge. That was what we can do and should be doing consistently, on both edges.

It is also on Seibold, and also the players in respect of their effort and commitment, to fix our appalling defence. He has had 5 games to do that. There are no excuses if we repeat our defensive performances against the Warriors

I'm not blaming Croft himself. I'm asking, YTF was he given the captaincy? Why is he being shown so much loyalty? Something stinks somewhere.

I suspect Seibold's pride is there somewhere, wanting to "get one over Bellamy" or something? Who knows?

I think Seibold is really struggling to develop a coherent, organised middle with the cards he has been dealt.

It is also interesting to review our posts in the threads following our 1st two winds when we were praising Croft for taking control of the team, maybe not as well as Cronk would have but that is the whole point isn't it.

I have to agree. When you add to the fact that Luke was dumped by the Warriors he's sure to grow an extra leg this Saturday night.

I don't bet, but all you punters out there should be dropping a few sheckles on him scoring from a dummy half run. He'll be keen to stick it right up them.

Let's face it if we get done by the Warriors on Saturday minus RTS and the three that want to go home this place will instantaneously combust. So unless the score is over 60* I'll still see it as a hollow victory.

*I shouldn't need to clarify but that's 60 in our favour.

For mine, if we don't fix our defence against the Warriors, we will lose. It's as simple as that

Good question, i always thought it was a bit strange that Croft was jettisoned into the 'leadership group' (or before school care as one of my mates now calls it) straight after signing with us.

Wonder if Seibs had to over promise a bit to Croft to get him away from Melbourne...
