None of Gallop's issues are skeletons. He was (one of) the lawyer(s) for News Ltd whose conduct is for all to see in court transcripts from the SL war.

He's got nothing to hide.

Gus, on the other hand, like Ribot et al, did a lot of "thief in the night" stuff behind the scenes that managed to not be exposed in court.
eusa_think hmm I always thought it was News who went around knocking on players doors in the middle of the night making them sign....but I admit i didn't really take an interest in it back then and I only know my stuff through speculation and hearsay.

I reckon all your ideas of uniting the powers is the only way to go...should've been done years ago.

There was a lot of it both ways. It was very very dirty tactics from both sides. Very ugly situation all round.

Absolutely correct Coxy, Steve Renouf has said Phil Gould and the Roosters at the time were willing to give him an unsigned cheque to get him to the Roosters, the ARL were just as guilty of it as Superleague. Crazy money was being thrown around back then, there were "loyalty" payments being paid for just sticking with the ARL or to stick with superleague aligned sides.

On NRL Fox they have Gavin Orr on & they asked him if he was SBW manager, he said he can't say too much because of legal advice.

He then said SBW didn't terminate their partnership. (So Orr is still his manager, though Orr didn't negotiate the union deal.)

SBW will be in court for years. [icon_lol1.

It all got stuffed up at the Cowboys game.
It got out about Ribot and his plans and if Knights had been signed then it would have been SL. To this day The Chief says he didn't drive through the night with the team (Knights)and get payed to get them signed ARL.....Don't believe him myself.
Anyone read the book?

Kaz I thought that Orr said he has had nothing to do with SBW since Feb this year as this other dude,Mundines manager took over. Must have been a bro [icon_wink

Sonny hasn't officially signed anything so what will happen if Toulon say no we don't want you and he comes back to Sydney, what will the Dogs do with a player who doesn't want to play for the club?

Release him?

Yawn... I'm so sick of hearing about SBW. Every news report has "The latest of the SBW saga".

They probably would've released him if he'd actually asked to be released, and explained how unhappy he was playing league.

Instead he did the bolt.

Bulldogs probably won't have any sympathy for him now.

If SBW comes back to the NRL they will have to let him play or continue to pay him because any ban would constitute a breaking of his contract as he will be unable to fulfill his obligations.

Bianc, Orr said his management team is not acting on SBWs behalf but SBW has not terminated his management contract. I assume they will want compensation from any deal he signs. Very messy business, this Kodder N is either very smart or very stupid. [icon_shru

True.

Wonder if we can convince Chopper that Nasser stole one of his paintings? Maybe that'll send him into a rage.

Apparently the guy who was trying to serve Khoder Nasser withthe legal papers, at the Mindine fight, need police protection for his own safety.

The private investigator who tried to serve controversial adviser Khoder Nasser his court papers required police protection at the Anthony Mundine fight at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, the Sydney newspaper says.

The newspaper published a photo on Thursday of the investigator but covered his face at the man's request for his own safety.

The investigator who needed protection from two police officers at the fight, told The Daily Telegraph: "I was only trying to do my job, but at the end of the day it was just too dangerous.

"I had one fellow following me everywhere and there were all these threats being made ...

"That's when I had to call the police to escort me out of there."

Danny Weidler is to rugby league what Zarah Garde-Wilson was to Underbelly. The naive bitch being fucked by the mob.

Fark how funny would this be:
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 17,00.html

SONNY Bill Williams will only earn the same money he is paid in the NRL by the Bulldogs if he signs to play rugby union with Toulon, according to the French club's millionaire owner.

Toulon owner-president Mourad Boudjellal says he hopes to sign Williams - but not for anywhere near the $3 million over two seasons that has been reported since the Kiwi international fled Australia on Saturday.

If that is the case, it will be some welcome news for the NRL which, with the salary cap, cannot match the figures being bandied about as it looks to retain its stars.

And in a further development, Boudjellal forecast more player raids on the NRL should Williams and former Australian Test player Luke Rooney - who has already signed with Toulon - prove a success in rugby union.

"Today I think that Sonny Bill Williams, should he sign with Toulon, it would be for the equivalent conditions to what he's getting currently," Boudjellal said.

How hilarious would it be if he's burnt all these bridges for this? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, what a dipshit!
