I'm behind the times. Is this something we expect to happen pre the August 1 cut off date? Or is it just a story about us losing TMM next year?Which we probably knew was going to happen anyway.

better haul ass if they want the trade to happen this year

If you argued that keeping Billy might force out a Paix or Packer than fair enough but this argument that he is pushing TMM out is just another really stupid take. Kevvie said just yesterday, which you reported on here in fact, that he wants to keep TMM but there is no clear pathway for him into our team moving forward. This is obviously due to Mam, Reynolds, Niu and Walsh.

Bring back the good McHunt McHunt, the one who used to make good discussion starters and involved in understandable discussion. Right now you just come across as a journalist who posts stupidity to get clicks.

What's happened to you man. I never thought you were this literal that I'd have to explain everything in minutiae lest you split hairs ad-infinitum like you did over Selwyn Cobbo. Good grief that was painful.

I'm not arguing anything. I'm ASKING at what point would you be concerned we are settling for a second rate player in a spine position, who happens to be the coach's son. And while every other position is adequately covered we are so light on in that one position, this second rate player seems like a good option.

My opinion is I will be concerned if he's out best option at hooker round 1 2023. Do I need to spell this out over and over that I'm not talking about this weekend?

I'm not LITERALLY arguing he's pushing out Te Maire, only that here we are looking at a seriously good player leaving who covers a fairly similar role to Billy at the beginning of the season, along with Tesi Niu and Herbie Farnworth. I'm not saying it's nepotism, but there is obviously a conflict of interest there, whether you want to call it that or not, and he is the worst player in a very good team.

Do you agree that Billy Walters is the weakest player in the team? We could start there if you're getting stuck on that he and Te Maire aren't exactly the same role.

Does it matter if he is the 'weakest' player in the team if he is in a totally different position to the guy you are suggesting? And dude, we are in the top 4, we aren't carrying any passengers. Even the worst player in the team, whoever he may be, is doing a fine job.

As it stands right now, TMM possibly isn't even in the first team, ergo based on your weird logic, still makes him equal to or worse than Billy. Both of them are doing a great job, why can't we just acknowledge that?

Just saying you aren't saying this is nepotism doesn't mean it isn't. It is like when someone says no offense but and then proceeds to offend.

Now if we are comparing apples with apples, Billy is now a 9, so his direct competition is Paix and Turpin. TMM's direct competition is Tesi and / or Mam.

Anyway, as you said in the post I quoted, watching you dig these holes and then dig even further, while extremely embarrassing for you, really adds nothing to the forum, so I will not engage further, my point is made.

He's our preferred utility, given Macca, ahem, Turpin has really failed to shine, we have a stop-gap measure which is doing the job right now. We have a great up and comer who is a year or two off, we have Paix who can't play 80 minutes.

There are not a lot of quality rakes on the market right now that could do a better job than Billy/Paix for the money we're currently paying them, that are a realistic option for '23.

This role is also nothing to do with TMM as Billy is filling in at Hooker, he's capable of the defensive workload required in that role. TMM is smaller and I'd argue even less suited at Hooker - keep in mind, I would have been very keen to retain TMM. TMM would be depth halves and depth fullback next year, totally unfair on him. Billy will get a gig in the guts.

Should we be on the market for a gun DH, 'king oath we should! But we also have a salary cap to consider.

Conflict of interest, with Ikin and DD around? Given what we've seen and how involved those two have been with our roster, I think Kev would be risking a lot to show favour to Billy.

I'd challenge anyone here to say that Billy has not shown heart and determination this year. He's played his guts out. Weakest player on our team? There have been moments were he's definitely not been far above the bottom, but he's given it everything he's got for a fairly low wage.

Mark him against Kelly, Lee, Mead, Palasia, Piakura, Riki, Robati, Turpin as those guys are earning his wage or more. He's unseated Turpin to the argument of few here, I'd take him over Kelly. He's given us loads more value on the field than anyone else in that small list. Riki's had what, 2 good games this year? Piakura's been a 400+K passenger on our books, Palasia has improved over the year but still makes me shake my head from time to time. Billy is definitely not our best player, he's equally not our worst - not even close.
 
Back to the subject at hand - I think it’s obvious now why the Warriors wanted Walsh to come to the Broncos. Would they have got a fullback/half if he went anywhere else? Certainly not from the The.

I must not watch on a big enough screen TV . Because I don`t very often see the FB in the picture when I`m watching games . A lot of times a line break is made and the FB is no where in the frame .

So ,,, I don`t understand how these foot ball critics can tell WTF TMM is doing or saying unless the have prime seats in the grandstand on half way at every ground the Broncos play at . And a parabolic microphone to hear what he is actually saying out on the ground .

I think it is some thing some one said in a press conference and it sounds cool to quote it .

There are some pretty clear key indicators as to whether a fullback is organising defence well. It has to do with counting numbers and adjusting the line. It becomes particularly clear near the goal line when you have the fullback in the shot.

Billy Walters is a shit hooker and the only reason he is getting a gig here is nepotism because he is the coach's son and because of that conflict of interest he is costing us (I think the list so far is TMM, Herbie etc) so his dad should be finding him a position in ESL - that my friend is an agenda. You can usually tell an agenda because it is oft repeated and regularly not based on logical factual conclusions.

Then how do two people discuss their opinions? How can one person then change their opinion? Surely it must be possible to explain how one reaches an opinion, and also discuss and rebut the counter-arguments that are made against that opinion.

Now, if you're forcing arguments in order to force a societal change that forces others to live under your opinion, that is an agenda. In this case, if McHunt was hounding Kevvie Walters to drop Billy, he would have fulfilled his agenda. If he doesn't like Billy on the team and is vocal about it, it is still an opinion, no matter how annoying it is.
