I honestly think we don't need another back boys. How much fucking depth do we need? We have Anderson who is knocking on first grades door, we have Copley and Reed locking down both centre positions and Oates looking like he will make the start of his career at wing. Not to mention Maranta who you could argue is definitely going to be a starter somewhere else

This is all correct as long as everything goes to plan, but sometimes you have to consider the worst case scenario.

Copley and Kahu are injury prone, they're just as likely to be out for the season as they are to be healthy for the season, Reed has 6 week periods where he's the best centre in the NRL and 6 weeks periods where the bloke selling pies in the stand could do a better job, Maranta & Oates seem like the only reliable / consistent backs we have at the moment, until proven otherwise.

Yeah, remember the Great Centre Curse of 2014. They had to play Glenn at left centre and then he git injured too!

B'okay.

The video opens with three tries created by Lyon (at least I think that's Lyon contesting DCE's bomb).

In fact, outside of :55 (there's the Hoggman we all know and resent) and 1:30 (last pass from guess who) what was supposed to impress me? Running over rookie Milford in a game where the Sea Eagles led comfortably?

Don't get it twisted, he's a solid player but nothing more. I didn't like what I saw from him this year and while he may thrive in a better environment, I doubt he'd come up here on a pay-cut. If he was to sign, he'd be at best the Broncos forth best back, behind Boyd, Kahu and Oates. And if Copley rediscovers his 2014 form, he'd be forth best.

Don't care for whoever scored the tries in that video but Lyon looks immense.

**** Lyon. He's a softcock who gave up rep footy because he couldn't cop any criticism from Peter Sterling. He fled the country to skip a contract. And he plays for Manly. The bloke's not fit to lick the mud from Hodgo's boots.

I haven't forgiven him for that stupid "torso" try at Suncorp.

I still remember yelling at the TV. "If you can't knock it on from your torso, why can you ground it?". Rules gone mad. Pretty sure he's done it twice.

Nicholls Returns To Broncos' Squad - Broncos

I think Bennett going out of his way to get Nicholls back up here so soon is because he suspects 1 of either Hunt or Milford or perhaps even both is going to play rep footy next year.

Lets see if I'm right and we see Nicholls play NRL for us next year at some point.

Yeah not surprised to see the halves depth improved though from what I saw of Kodi during the test series he could fill in during the rep period should Hunt or Milford get a call up. We have a number of players training with the club in the off season, it will be interesting to see the final squad.

I hated that Manly '09 game. I've never watched it back, but at the game it seemed as if Archer was doing his best 'rubber-band' referee job.

The only time I want to see Nicholls in a Broncos jersey is in January or February.

A forged signature on his Gold Coast Titans playing contract has left Dally M centre-of-the-year James Roberts a free agent to join a rival NRL club immediately.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal a senior Titans employee has resigned after he was found to have faked Roberts’ signature on an amendment to his three-year contract.
Titans football manager Scott Clark left the club on Thursday afternoon after admitting to chief executive Graham Annesley what he had done.
Roberts’ contract, which was registered with the NRL in July, is now null and void

Time to swoop? Now that's a player I'd be happy to have.

I'd take Roberts ...

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Roberts
4. Copley
5. Anderson/Maranta

No Reed anywhere in sight...

A bloke can dream

Boxing champ, former NRL star and his cousin Anthony Mundine is now advising Roberts, who has cut ties with his manager.

Just resigning? Shouldn't that employee be up for fraud or something?
