Roberts was just having a bad game. He has been one of our best in the past few weeks. As everyone knows, Gillet is the glue to our right edge defence. The Roosters really exposed his absence.

Not really talking about the miss on Copley. Any player can miss a tackle. I just think he is the type of player that needs to be set up with a bit of daylight in front of him ie a winger. He might even make a great winger.
He only occasionally looks dangerous in the centres, even with early ball.

I thought Roberts should have been given earlier ball.

There was one moment in the first half where Roberts was one on one with Copley and 9 times out of 10 you back Roberts to do something. But he doesn't get passed the ball.

In saying that, with the Broncos throwing the ball around, I thought he should have come in field looking for the ball more. Those are moments when Roberts is at his most dangerous.

He did that against the Panthers, but just stayed out on the right last night.

Roberts and early ball is a myth.
The dude needs to learn how to run lines. Every time he gets ball in space, defenders back off him and let him make the first move and then wrap him up. Copley did this to him multiple times last night. Roberts biggest problem is that the winger on the outside of him basically catches a cold every game because he cant draw and pass and teams know that as soon as he gets the ball he is going himself ala hoggman. If he doesn't want to pass and only run, then maybe we should put him on the wing.

I still can't believe we let Copley walk out the door ... actually, we didn't just let him walk out, we threw him out

Everyone lamenting letting go Copley because he managed to stay on the field for an entire game.

Nek minnit.......he busts his knee for the 1000th time and is gonski's. I still think we made the right call. Roberts will come good.

He sits wide and tries going on the outside 9 times out of 10... He looks more dangerous when he runs inside... He still can't read the game to know when to inject himself. I'm hoping he hangs in there and works on a few things rather than blaming the game plan or lack of 'early ball' and starts playing s bit smarter and getting himself into the attacking raids when he can be most effective

Yeah I don't remember a form slide like this ever? The writing was on the wall early in the season and I was dreading the inevitable, but had no idea we would crash this hard. Currently we are the worst side in the competition or at least on par with the Knights.

The last time I felt like this we literally just dumped one player and everything went back to normal again...

Nah **** it man, just put Nikorima in there - Bloke can't tackle but who the **** cares, someone else will do those 60 odd tackles... Tackling is so under-rated bro. YOLO!
Friend tackles just as much, and he's much more threatening in attack.

When's the last time McCullough forced a drop out, put a forward through a gap to score a try, made a break himself or even made a run himself that had the defensive line on their toes, or heck, when's the last time he looked remotely threatening with the ball in hand?

You can love Macca all you like, he's a good defender and that's it. He occasionally has a good boot on him and can put in a 40/20 but it's far and few between. He tries his heart out, and gives 110% every game but he's just an average plodder who does the job, we have no threat from dummy half.

I'm not going to hate on a guy who gives his all every game, but we can do far better.

Which player are you referring too?

Obviously it's not that simple this time.

**** he was useless after his injury.

I thought he was decent before then, but he was never the same after his knee injury.

I'm glad we got rid of him.

Then he had the nerve to bag out the Broncos in the media before a match against the Broncos.

Look at where your career is now Michaels...

It wasn't that simple in 09 either.

The results were on the back of players playing out of position, loss of confidence and injury.

When they were finally able to stick solid with a 17, beat a few minnows like Cronulla and Penrith, they were right as rain.

The question is ,have we hit the bottom yet?

Yeah, I reckon we have. I saw more positives last night than the past few weeks. We get troops back this week against another shit team. It will be a cripple fight but I reckon we'll get the win and that might be all it takes. I am concerned with our fitness though, Gus made his usual comment about being able to throw a handkerchief over our group there several times but they did look fucked... I don't know maybe it could be as simple as a fitness thing? We looked way fitter last season, to the point that we could be down on points during the game but know we were the fitter side and would run the opposition down at the back end...

All I ask is for 5 weeks with no suspensions or injuries, and 2-3 wins.

Please and thank you, football gods.

Its not that tackling is overrated its just that it's only half the job description. He also needs to set the tone and deliver decent ball to our halves and get our forwards rolling over the advantage line. He doesn't do that. Shit if you only had to tackle the likes of Stagg and Dallas Johnson would be awesome hookers. We need to take blinkers off and look past our biases to see the problems we have.

Joey Offa - 28 mins - 5 runs / 36 metres - 20 tackles / 2 missed

Pangai Jnr - 26 mins - 14 runs / 109 metres - 16 tackles / 1 missed

Been a bit of talk about Joe going backwards lately.. But yikes those are ugly stats.

Wow, Pangai absolutely motored him. Unreal considering the difference in first grade games. This is the problem right here, this team legit looks like it couldn't give less of a shit anymore.
