He was broken way earlier than that
This kick was crazy good.
Good old Buzz Rothfield...Where's all the media now?
I do recall (earlier on in the season) hearing that Brisbane had let the wrong half leave, and in fact Hunt had it all over Milford.
Hahahahahahahaha.
This is actually getting hard to watch. As fun as it is as a sports fan, if you remember this is just a bloke trying to do a job and a bloke that was pretty loyal to us for quite some time, it’s actually kinda sad
I mean, I’m sure the millions of dollars would help him sleep at night but **** me he is having a rough go of it on the field.

Spot on. Hunt seems like the kind of guy that once he hits the paddock however much money he is on or whatever jersey he is wearing he gives 100%. What was he supposed to say to the Dragons? "Nah, I'm not worth that much money, pay me less." Every single member of this forum would have done exactly the same thing as Hunt if we were in his shoes.
What he should have done is taken the money offered here that was what he was worth and what he could produce.
Can I just say I hate this assumption that people seem to make of 'oh you all would take the most money offered to you so lay off' when that simply isn't the case. I have been offered far more money than I am earning in a role that was far higher than my current one. I turned it down because at this stage of my career the role was too big for me and at this stage I wouldn't be up for it so rather than getting the money for a year or so before I burn out, fail and then my future career prospects dwindle I have stayed where I am and am doing the training required to be ready for it because that kind of role is where I want to end up.
So don't say everyone would take the money.

Okay. You're right as I've campaigned on here for years and years fighting against broad all encompassing generalizations. Most people would take the money, not all. Some believe a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, in other words take the big offer because you'll never know if you'll get that opportunity again. Like in your case, you turned down a big job for whatever reason, that job may never be offered again but you take the risk. Perhaps you should have, perhaps not. You may have been perfectly capable of doing it but didn't have the courage to back yourself, no matter it was your decision. Thing is, make a decision and own the consequences. What he should have done is taken the money offered here that was what he was worth and what he could produce.

Completely different circumstances I’m sure. I’m guessing you aren’t less than five-six years from retirement and I’m guessing the difference in offer wasn’t about 500k + a year over 5 or 6 years meaning you’d be sacrificing about 3 million dollars. And it isn’t like he left his company to do a completely different role, he went to do exactly the same thing.
