I hope we can keep Demetriou still.
I was banking on Bennett coaching forever but obviously that was never going to happen. I was hoping Kevie would get the nod. He has Bronco blood flowing through his veins and he would have done a good job. His Origin and ESL records are irrelevant when it comes to his qualifications. He is a winner and winners produce other winners. He may still get his chance if Seibold stinks it up.
He won six times as a player including five at the club he was applying for the head coaching role. He had 57 players to choose from in the Origin series this year and almost pulled it off despite missing a couple of it's long standing stars. Seibold impressively took his team to within one game of the GF in his rookie season but that included two losses to a struggling Bronco side and they were never ever a serious threat at the crown. That's why I am keen to see the two coaches stay put for another year as his sophomore season may not be as successful as his first and we may truly see his coaching credentials. Kevie deserved the job IMO and it's a shame that they passed on him.You do know that part of the prerequisite to be a winner, is to win a lot.

Me too, imagine if he and Seibold put their footy brains together the schemes they could come up with!I hope we can keep Demetriou still.

What better way to boost his coaching record than by leading the team that Wayne built. Truth be known, I considered him the leading candidate in a bad lot. Whichever applicant that is chosen (obviously it is the boy from Rocky) will be two steps down from the master and if AS can snare a premiership within five years, then I'll consider it to be a good move. He has a big task ahead of him.that might be relevant if we wanted to sign him as a player ... but we were looking to sign a head coach, so what matters is his coaching record, which is abysmal

lol, I'm not in that fb group but obviously you are as you keep posting about it all the time. Do you share your vast knowledge with them occasionally or are you just an observer? What better way to improve your low skill set and poor previous results than by taking on the most prestigious and demanding position in that field...

Yes, I have heard the same as well, it's sort of a fanboy/girl type page. I am relieved to hear that you are not a member. Not in that group but everyone knows who they are, they are famous for being fuckheads.
Should do everything to sign Smith the moment he retires as an assistant coach, that is one great player who will also make a great coach.
true, he is off contract!Should do everything we can to sign Smith NOW for 2019 for one season....
