Corey Parker appreciation thread

I cannot be bothered ranking him as the best forward ever in the Broncos history. It would be unfair on guys like Lazarus, Webcke and Civo. Each one contributed. Although I started the thread it was to honour a great player and not to rank him. Rankings are subjective and he played most of his career in a different position to those mentioned. A champion in any company and getting better with age. 2014 and a premiership beckons.

Corey Parker makes me proud to be a Bronco and is one of my most favourite players off all time. His passion for the club is tremendous, his work rate and ability to offload the ball in tackle is exceptional, he plays the game in the right spirit, his behaviour on and off the field is outstanding making him a great mentor for up and coming players and with great determination and work ethic he has forced his way back into representative teams.

Corey Parker truly is a remarkable player and a role model for all young players.

Easily top three arguably first or second best second rower in the game (putting lock and 2rf together). Sbw and fallen are his competition with Burgess not far behind. If thaiday stays on form and our other forwards lift to match this amazing player we will win games through the middle and the fact we only have one half wont really matter.

Yeah, I think Parker has done that multiple times. :p

NSW defence was perfectly structured, and it took the two players we missed last time to disorganise them a bit - Parker with his offloads and Cronk with him trying different things.

I've always been a huge Parker fan, glad he's so loyal and has never even entertained the idea of changing clubs. What a champ, hopefully no more injuries and he can play every game from here on out.

Wow, there is a player at the very top of his game. Its great to see a real footballer with real footy smarts and skills and not just a crash and bash athlete in the game, his effort tonight was simply brilliant. The obvious thing were hisoffloads, but if you watch him closely his talk in defense and overall calmness was sensational. He is a great foil for cam smith in the middle of the park and someone the younger guys really look to when things are getting tight. Whilst he did take the first hit up on occasion off the tap tonight, he wasn't required to do the donkey work in the first or second tackle, lets hope griffin follows suit and leaves him play his natural game.
