Stand up Corey Parker ...
Honestly, has there ever been 8 offloads by one player in a match. Wow.
Great work captain Parker.
It's like every game he does an offload for each extra grey hair he's got since the last game. No doubt his extra effort tonight was due to missing a few games.
What position did he play tonight ? Looking forward to seeing the game but unfortunately not until I arrive back home to relax in Gods Country .......
Lock. Where he belongs.
I know some members on here talk about how our 8, 10 & 13 are interchangeable; I don't buy it. Parker didn't have to do the 1st and 2nd tackle hard hitups last night, even though he did a few, but most were later in the set. Combine this with his offloads and a retreating defence and we tore their defence to shreds. This is how he should be used for the Broncos. Unfortunately, he's being used as a battering ram where he's largely ineffective.
Parker always has a great game but last night he was exceptional. He seems to just get better and better, certainly no signs of slowing down.

I saw him take those hitups many times last night ... he even took one from the kickoff IIRC.
people really need to stop looking at the number on his back, but rather the way he plays. do that and you will actually see that he play no different with the 13 on his back than he does with the 10 on his back.
I actually posted Stats on here earlier in the season (since everyone seems to rely on stats) that show he has made more meters, more offloads and more tackles, but taken less hitups, this year than last.
so by taking less hitups, but making more meters would suggest (if not flat out say) that he is actually more effective this year than last year ... but hey, keep looking at the number on his back, that will tell you everything you need to know about the way he is playing.
Parker is Awesome
Now who's not reading posts? Foordy posted stats about this some time ago, which completely disprove your theory.I don't think you even read my post. You bolded the bits that suited your argument, yet left out the rest.
I said he did take a few of those hitups on the first or second tackle, but mostly it was later in the tackle count.
When he plays Prop for the Broncos, he's taking the first or second hitup every set with McGuire. When he plays Lock and we have 2 Props, he takes the 3rd, or even 4th hitup which gives him a bit more space as the middle of the field opens up, which allows him more space to be able to get his offloads away. You have to be able to see that if you've watched the Broncos this season and watched the Origin game last night, surely?
It doesn't have anything to do with the number on his back. He could wear the #6 for all I care, but he shouldn't be used as a battering ram first or second tackle of the set. It's not where he's most effective, and again, we saw that last night in Origin where he had probably the best game of his career.

Besides, he plays exactly the same way in a Broncos jersey as he played last night (albeit last night was epic).
