Corey Parker appreciation thread

I hope the Broncs make his 300th a special occasion, he deserves it. It would be good for the team to get up over the reigning premiers on the night just to make it all the sweeter for him.

Hodges could probably make 300 too if he retired from rep footy right now and extend his playing career by a couple of seasons

I can't wait for this game, it will be a great test for our forwards and no better occasion to step up and play well to win this game for Corey.

He should shave his head for the game, wind the clock back a bit:laugh:

I came into this thread to say to TonyTheJugoslav that he has an awesome username, but then I saw there was a dude called HIV Lover. That's gotta be the craziest username I have seen on this forum.

24 regular season games + FW1 + FW3 + GF

Plus test footy, plus 3 origin games, plus that Mickey mouse club series we are playing against the pommy teams at the start of the year....

Thanks mate l do agree with you something about HIV Lover is profoundly disturbing.

Yeah but TonyTheJugoslav is a champ, HIV Lover was just some troll.

I use my eyes to see Parker plays exactly the same whether he has the 10 or 13 on his back. Some people should try it...

Mmmmm.......Porthoz, you may consider that the most successful coach in history does not agree with you about Parker. In fact, the recent article highlights how WB thinks Parker is not best used at prop. Furthermore,if he considered he played the same way in both positions he would never have signed players specifically to avoid having Parker play prop. What is consistent though is both you and Foordy disagreeing with someone vastly more knowledgeable. Naturally you both have every right to hold a contrary view and forums are the correct place to shout them to the world.

Perhaps it would be wise to heed your own advice and have another 'look'. Maybe, just maybe you are wrong about this.

“We will get to play Sam out on an edge now, which is where he plays his best football. Certainly I think Corey is better at lock then playing in the front row.
“Those two, Sam and Corey in particular, have carried an enormous load the past few years and I thought it was important to get them more help around them and that is what we have been able to do.”

The above is an extract from the article, just in case you missed it. WB certainly has been using his eyes, he took your advice !

I thought lock and prop were the same :noidea:

Wait.. I mean middle third.. or bookend.. loose forward.

**** it - 80 minutes at wherever the hell they played for half a decade before this year.

Wow that was some childish shit right there.

Did you just necro a months old post? If so, dude let it go. There's no scoreboard here, stop trying to be the 'winner'

lol....it's not about winning, it's about humility....a post that's a whole month old, wow, talk about a long time ago. When post after post childishly refers to the coach as the Messiah, snide references and out and out derision then it's fair play. Anyway, it's just my opinion. No one wins the internet. Also, it is nice personally to be on the same page or to think the same thing as someone who knows the game and is so highly regarded for their footballing knowledge and to voice that opinion prior to knowing that persons opinion.

This forum was a far more enjoyable place in the past prior to people persistently being involved in pissing contests to win petty arguments and be found correct. Huge this is not directed specifically at you but at all sides of the current mass debates. And Porthoz, well played sir for not rising to the bait (for once).

On topic, Parker remains my favourite player and I believe he is the only viable option for captain at this stage.
