And the sad decline continues.

Lockyer is over the hill.

Honestly, it is getting harder to watch him every week.

Dont get excited yet, To be honest the players around him are making him look better then he is. Drop balls, bad passes he has them all in his game right now. It was a mistake to play Origin and will be a mistake to play beyond this contract.

He might not be over the hill but he isn't far from it.

Fox Sports statistics show he remains a valuable contributor after 327 matches.

After missing 20 club and six representative games while he battled knee problems in 2007 and 2008, he has become something of an ironman.

Since the start of last year, Lockyer has played 41 of a possible 45 games.

What a champion!!

I take it those 4 he missed are the 4 Origins?

Lamb had 349. Lockyer has 327. 23 to go.

By rights should play another 10 first grade games this season at least, another 20+ next year...yep, should become the most capped player. And all at one club too.

but loyalty is dead!!

Technically if you consider the Northern Eagles and Manly separate clubs, Locky already holds the record for most games for the one club.

He also has the best win-loss record of any player in the history of he game. 215 won, 7 drawn, 105 lost.

It appears that there are a lot of very poor judges out there with them selecting Lockyer, according to draggx at least. Those people who've selected Lockyer have made a serious lapse in judgement , a lapse that many seem to be in agreement with. They win the test and Origin 1 with Lockyer there, his club also wins during that period, and yet draggx views that as an error in judgement to have picked Lockyer. Kinda makes you wonder what would satisfy him and also makes you think draggx would be the last person you would ask for an opinion on a players merits.

Meanwhile Huge is incapable of interpreting sarcasm. Makes you think he'd be the last person you would ask for an opinion about the wittiness of a post ;-)

That's why you have emoticons for. I wasn't sure whether to give Draggx a serve or just laugh along...

True, but I still stand by my Huge is crazy statement :P

Please tell me this was a joke [icon_frown

Cant of been watching the same Darren Lockyer play as i have. I cant remember last time he dropped a ball, man if we judged everyone by the fact they threw a bad pass every game then everybody in the NRL wouldnt be any good.

Like i saiid i hope your statement was ment to be sarcasim and not for real. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts though.

Yeh I totally agree with Dragg about this, Lockyer is not doing enough, he really needs to lift his act. He is still missing tackles, some of his kicking yesterday was cod ordinary, did you see the number of times the ball went dead, he couldn't keep it in play for the life of him. Back to Q-Cup to regain some form.

He's not good enough for Q Cup. I'd send him back to FOGS Cup. Or just release him to the Titans already.
