is it a normal 17 man team or have they alowed an extended bench to cope with the heat etc? Chris walker would be one to keep an eye on, if he plays it would be the 1st game in about 18 months... the titans fans love to talk him up but knowing him he'll cop an injury and be out anouther season.

Trials usually have no limitations on interchanges etc.

Looks to me as if they have named two teams. The reserves have been named in position.
One team to play the first half and one to play the 2nd? Or If they they are playing quarters, maybe alternative ?quarters?

Interesting, nuffy back line but potentially full strength pack (sans Thaiday, Kenny and Parker).

Pretty good young backline IMO.
Don't know much about Guy Williams & David Georgiou but the rest are all very good prospects. David Georgiou came up from Penrith in the off season where he played in the halves but has been training as a utility back for Brisbane.

-Gerard Beale will most likely be 2nd in line for the number 1 jersey now, seeing Hoffman is out for 3 months.
-Antonio Winterstein is very solid and pacey (outrun yow yeh and put on a couple tries against brisbane last year)
-We all know Yow Yeh is a massive prospect.
-Ben Hunt is the inaugural Toyota Cup Player of the year, his kicking game for Yow Yeh & combination with McCullough will be one to be talked about very highly in years to come.

Very exciting times IMO, these young blokes are the future

Interesting to see Greenie as the coach.

I see one of Ashton's younger brother Tariq on the U20 bench too (from memory Korbin another one is the best of the lot so they say), and Gagai according to the paper was BBC rugby captain last year and could turn into a good 1 or 6 with the Reds disappointed not to sign him (sounds like a Karmichael story from his debut year).

Georgiou played Q Cup for Easts a couple of years back didn't he? Thought he looked very promising and he would have only been about 18 at that stage.

Yep in 2006. He was very impressive. But it seems to be a bit of a curse for young QLD's going down to Penrith, They going down with a big wrap on them and seem to just rot away in the lower grades without getting a look in and then they get punted. There has been a fair few go down in the last couple of years and the only one to get a decent go has been Bob Blair

I like the fact that they have given the young backline a decent forward pack to play behind. THis way they should get a roll on against the titans and hopefully get a chance to show off some skills. Its gonna be very important for us to know what our plan B backline will be for when the rep games come up - we could loose our entire backline to rep commitments a few times this year, hopefully some of these young guys see the oportunety to make their break.

Doubt it'll be sold out... if this weather keeps up it could be a very empty Kougari Oval.
