I'll laugh so hard if they pick Hoffman.

Good old Benny E, every time the media wants to troll they run to him for a comment. You can bet they contacted a lot of more relevant ppl first but they fall back on the ever reliable turbo tongue Elias.

What about Iglis to fullback, Tate to the centres and Ash Graham to the wing?

Every time someone suggests Graham for Queensland an origin fairy dies.

Do we forget how Tate would never pass when he was a centre for the broncs?

I'd keep the left edge defence the same - it's been our strength this series. Bowen comes in for me. His combination with Thurston is the attacking spark we need.

Much as I'd like to see Inglis at the back, I think you are right.

Nielsen is a better defender than Inglis for sure, and it's not like Inglis is doing much in attack in the centres, the opposition keeps teaming up on him every time he gets the ball.

I reckon this would be the obvious choice - if it wasn't Origin! I wouldn't be against it, but the worry I have is that Bowen would get monstered like Slater does occasionally, purely because of his small build. It's not a slight on his game or anything, purely just the nature of the beast that is Origin.

With Parker playing this weekend and Thaiday back in the Origin team it will create a selection headache on the bench. A lot will depend on this weekend with Parker & Gillett up against Taylor. I think those three players are playing for 2 bench spots.

Gillett is gone IMO if Parker is available. It's plain to everyone he has lost form and Qld can't carry him in a must win game.

His move to the run on side hasn't been a success, he is far better served to be back on the bench for us and hopefully regain form.

We are still using Gillett wrongly IMO. Unlike Dave Taylor, who should be able to play anywhere in the forward pack, Gillett is at his best running wide into gaps, getting offloads away. At the moment we seem to be using him as a middle 1/3rd running prop-lock, which severely limits any creativity he might have out wide.

Why should Taylor be different? I think ppl look at his size and say he's a prop, but to be a good prop you have to want to do it.

He has proven by his performances that he doesn't like it in tight and I'm stuffed if I can think of any reason to play him tight when he doesn't want to and there are players like Carney and Jennings to run him at out wide.

Play him wide or pick someone else who wants to play tight. We have supposedly the 2 best halves in league, if they can can't find a way to put him 1 on 1 with a lot smaller guy then they should give it away.

Agree with Dexter. Just because someone's a monster doesn't mean they should play prop. He's fast, has a phenomenal offload, and even a trick shot kicking game, he has to be played as a wide running back rower. That's when he's most damaging.

And let's face it, mentally he's not tough enough to defend up the middle.

Of the 2 games so far, there's absolutely no doubt that Cronk and Thurston have, relative to their ability, been the worst performers in either team.
