Re: 2014 Halves Pairing

I won't believe it until it's named.

Re: 2014 Halves Pairing

It will be as we said. Hook to be sacked by round 5.

If it means Hook getting sacked by round 5 then i'm positive that 99% of the forum are happy for Barba and Hoffman to interchange between fullback and 5/8

Re: Round 1 - Bulldogs vrs Broncos; Pre-Match Discussion

Well if his cross field kicks are upto the level of his passing game we are in serious trouble, long term though it could be for the best, makes getting rid of Griffin easier plus thinking about it now, perhaps not playing a young 5/8th alongside Hunt is for the best, reduces the sort of negative influence Griffin could have on their development.

Not if it's Kearney taking over though.

Anthony Griffin is rubbish. Sooner he goes the better. He is sucking every bit of life out of the players. He is space jamming them I swear it.

Re: 2014 Halves Pairing

well it seems most people on here want hook sacked immediately and they think we will have a new full time coach by the following week...

but it never works like that. If a coach is sacked then they either finish the year or a caretaker (usually one of the assistant coaches) finishes the year, while the club searches for its next coach.

So if Hook gets sacked then it is likely we will have Kearney coach us for the remainder of the year.

so you'd rather Kearney coaches us for the remainder of 2014?

No but I'd be surprised if he could be worse.

kearney must have his own ideas? as long as he wasnt signed on for 2015, i could live with kearney taking a caretaker position til the end of the year. it would be the first step in moving forward.

i wouldn't be ... at least under Griffin we won't get belted by 40 points every match like Parramatta used to under Kearney.

I see this and many other threads have turned into an anti-Griffin/SACK GRIFFIN thread again. Wait until this team is named before you want him sacked for a team that hasn't even been named yet.

It'll be interesting to see who the wingers are. Maranta, Mills, Drew and Vidot seem to.be the options.

He might have had some help from WB, but Kearney has a World Cup win to his name. It's more than Griffin can offer at the top level of the game.

Re: Round 1 - Bulldogs vrs Broncos; Pre-Match Discussion

Probably stretching it a bit and I'd prefer to avoid it regardless, but some positives of Kearney coaching:

No Griffin
Kearney hopefully no longer coaching defence
A new (hopefully competent) assistant
No Griffin

It's better to cut them both though.

Lol ....that means nothing.

Kearney has turned Brisbane's rock solid defence into Swiss cheese.

He's shit!

I definitely agree. I just think Griffin is worse.
