I think it is relevant though. Had they taken a harder stance back then, maybe they wouldn't in such a mess now. Sure it's a different administration, but doesn't mean they the current administration wouldn't have benefited from the culture the old administration built.

Do you honestly think Bird and co just tried coke for the first time during this current off season? Looks like it was happening at the titans during their first ever mad Monday, and also their most recent. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it probably happened at every one in between too, and the current crop of players to get done got stuck in to it somewhere in between.

It's obviously pure speculation, but maybe a harder stance up front might have saved all this drama. Oh noes, they got fined 5% of their contract/house. They probably snorted more than 5% of their contract anyway.

IMO it's not relevant, all clubs have a drugs policy and make decisions based on that current policy which is evolving all the time.

I get annoyed by the media when they report stuff like this trying to establish a link from 8 years ago, they are creating news not reporting it.

A positive test after the season has ended to a recreational drug, which by the way was not identified in the story ( may have been Marijuana) , is not something a club should have to make public IMO, but the media report it as if there was some major cover up.

Channel 9 reported 2 more arrests, a 32 & 28 year old.

Didn't say if they were former Titans players.

Even if the source is in the tweet?

Or wasn't it there before?
I put those there...

Also, using the Tweet tags, the post content will disappear if it's deleted from Twitter.

I've got no issues with them keeping it in house at the time, but I think it points to a drugs culture at the titans from day one. That to me is relevant given there is clearly a drugs culture at the titans now. It didn't just happen overnight. It's been simmering for 8 years. Just because the players involved in 2008 are no longer at the club, doesn't mean they didn't have some influence in building that culture and passing it on to the new generation of players. That's the link I see to the 2008 story. Not so much about a so called cover up, but because they knew of a problem back then, and clearly didn't address it well enough.

Re: Karmichael Hunt charged with supplying Cocaine

Tomorrow will be the biggest story in Queensland League ever.

Three huge names

Well I am done, Bird, Harrison and Taylor was me last week, I thought it would be all done Sunday morning with names. Took a bit longer than I thought.

Well that was a little disappointing.

I thought it would be players Queenslanders actually gave a shit about..

@RLW_Mole: HERE WE GO: Another arrest coming on the Gold Coast. and one in NZ.

That was over an hour ago.

@RLW_Mole: Just to clarify, no @NZWarriors players have been implicated in this scandal.

But then this not long after.

Some articles are describing them as former Broncos... What a load of crock, any chance to bring our club into it. Harrison was a Bronco like 10 years ago? And Michaels left in 08 didn't he?

This is how they cover their arse from possible defamation cases
