Looks like:

1. Finch
2. Labushagne
3. Smith
4. Henriques
5. Green
6. Maxwell
7. Carey
8. Agar
9. Abbott
10. Zampa
11. Hazlewood

It is experimental, I like it.

Personally I'm abit disappointed Green is playing this one.

I am very excited to see him play and I'll be cheering him on, I just think he should have been given his chance in red ball cricket where he's scored his runs rather than being thrown into the ODI side.

If he fails against the white ball in a dead rubber his test hopes will take a plunge.

The way I see it is today would be the perfect time to debut a new addition to the team. They would go in with basically no pressure and could get the first game nerves out of the way in preparation for more important games

You could achieve all that against India on Saturday and the runs and wickets mean something.

I've missed the first hour - Anyone know what sort of speeds Green was bowling at?

Around the 140’s

Think he got up to 142 on one of his deliveries

And this is off his ambling run up, he can go faster. Early on, before his injuries, I had a mate say the speed gun in the nets when he really fired it up got up to 151!

That’s hectic, it wouldn’t surprise me he has the perfect build for generating speed. I like what I’ve seen so far, really looking forward to seeing him bat tonight though

You guys still disagreeing with me in saying that the Test series will be a walkover?

Genuinely don't think India stand a chance, especially with no Kohli for the last 3 games, and apparently no Rohit Sharma for the first 2 games, potentially all 4.

The only thing that would change my mind is if Warner misses several games.

Wow, that was either a brilliant review or super lucky, thinnest nick I've ever seen.

Yes. India still have some absolute guns in their side and they bat deep, have some really good red/pink ball bowlers and two gun spinners in Jadeja and Ashwin (if he is in the side).

1. Shaw
2. Agarwal
3. Pujara
4. Kohli/insert any replacement, they have heaps of gun FC players
5. Rahane
6. Pant
7. Jadeja
8. Ashwin
9. Shami
10. Sharma
11. Bumrah

Then they have reserve players outside that that would walk into most national test sides. They are the best test side in the world for a reason. IF Australia play at their best, they should win but it will be competitive.

Low IQ move by Australia having Labu open when he's the ideal middle order batsman for this format.

If we were set on going for this XI it should have been Carey.

I really want to get behind Green but sending the debutant in at 5 has given India the momentum in a big way. Finch struggling to get any strike and run rate creeping up.

Yep, and now Finch is forced to go for it and we lose another wicket. Barring something special from Maxwell or Carey we've lost this purely due to selections.

Yeah and I don't mind it. Give him a chance to work his way into the side. And the other thing is, this is the way Green bats, he starts slow and then accelerates, he is batting exactly the way he normally does and that is what I want to see. There is still plenty of batting to come.

It's certainly a baptism of fire for a bloke who doesn't have a great white ball record.

I wish him well I just think it's a huge amount of pressure to put on his young shoulders. If he comes through this I'll be hugely impressed.
