Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy... Oi Oi Oi

haha, i have no problem with queenslander pointing out the obvious. im a very one eyed broncos fan, i hate billy slater, i get some kind of sick satisfaction out of losing last night because slater fucked up.

its not so much the fact that im angry at slater for losing the world cup.

im more into laughing at him for fucking up in the biggest game he will ever play.

had a bronco done it, id be defending him haha.

so **** slater, hes a douche.

Sims definitely threw away our season, no doubt in the world, but I won't bag him for it.
However, SUCH SHIT SLATER! YOU CAT YOU LOST THE WORLDCUP THANKS TO YOUR COCKINESS.

You haven't looked hard enough :P It's been said, maybe not outright, but definitely implied!

I agree! Slater = Cat. LOL!

Hunt would never have done that!!

Flopsgibbon didn't help the cause much either. FFS, if Meninga taught us anything it's that you want 3/4 Props in your side, 2nd rowers don't cut it....and Birri should be on the bench for when the other props are tired.

LOL @ Birri again....LOL LOL LOL

Comes down to the age old argument. Billy Slater can win you games, but he can also cost you them with his silly mistakes.

And let's face it, he didn't have to win us a game in the world cup. The other 4 games were dominant. The one game it was a challenge he fucked it up.

Haha so playing the bias Broncos supporter card hey? Well take a look at my first reply in this thread mate and you'll see that i actually do believe Sims dropped our premiership hopes.

**** off queenslander everytime we on here criticise someone we are forced to hear this bullshit from your gob about how we are bias Broncos supporters. Go play yous xbox or somethin.

Not playing any card, im just pointing out when ppl were blaming sims, alot of ppl jumped to his defence (apparently not u tho), and there was even that facebook page created defending him. I, myself dont blame him, because as i said at the time, other ppl made mistakes. I can see you're getting a bit emotional about this tho...

Thats the honest post i was looking for, someone who is admitting hes enjoying this coz he hates slater, not specifically blaming him for costing us the game, but more so for stuffing up at the highest level.

You're probably right, but then again Hunt would never have set up those 2 tries Slater did, nor would he EVER win player of the series. As i said earlier, at least slater is there to **** up. wheres hunt? getting 10 mins off the bench rofl

Slater passed the ball to Vatuvei...LOL it was only that Vatuvei dropped the ball and Lockyer got it that he had 2 try assists...or did everybody miss this? He nearly effed that up :P it was a nice line break though.

I'm sure it was Hunt's fault he wasn't on the field for more than 9 minutes too...the coward.

No no, I didn't miss it. In fact I think I said to Aeetee at the time "fucking under 7s know how to draw and pass, but Slater doesn't!".

[icon_lol1. I said that too. I'm a hater icon_thumbs_u

I'm pretty sure Slater is the worst fullback evr. Hunt is way better and doesn't need to be fast cause he jumps in the air (this is apparently called a 'step') just before he hits the line. Therefore Hunt > Slater.

Sirsly though, Slater for ridiculous pace and good attacking flair. Hunt for safety and good link up plays.

Others made mistakes, but Slater's blunder shoved the momentum NZ's way and they capitalised easily. He threw away the World Cup. Simple as that.

I think the biggest momentum shift was Lockyer losing the ball over the line. I really coundn't see the Kiwis coming back from 16 - 0! Added to that the gift try he gave to Hohaia, a case for Lockyer losing us the game could be just as easily made as for Slater.

The way I see it (and the way I've always seen it, so don't give me any "one-eyed" crap), there is a big difference between Lockyer's and Slater's mistakes. Slater made a conscious decision to run towards the sideline (as did Williams), then another one to throw it back in field. Lockyer never thought "I'm going to drop this ball" or "I'm going to miss this tackle", and neither did Fitzgibbon who had a couple of similar errors. Monaghan didn't jump in the air with the intention to miss the ball, but at some point he made the decision to hang an arm out and get Hohaia around the neck.

Everyone makes mistakes, so I can't hang too much shit on Lockyer, Fitzgibbon or even Sims, just because theirs happened to come at the worst moments. Slater, Williams and Monaghan made some seriously stupid and very risky decisions, at crucial stages of the game, so they deserve to cop plenty IMO.

Funny how things work out really, if Slater had of side stepped the side line it was try under the posts. Mind set really, if he wasn't thinking "hey, the crowd will go nuts if I do this" he'd probably just hit it up and the game goes on.

Not going to comment on anything else until I get time to see it on TV and decent replays, except that the ref was shocking on maintaining the 10m.

HAHAHAHA. I'm still laughing. Anybody who thinks Slater is a pressure player. I refer you to a 16-14 lead. 20 to go.. He could've easily been content with just taking the tackle from Vatuvei. But GOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD DAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN. He really showed how someone can have a brain snap.

He didn't lose the game for Aus. They all lost it for themselves, but he did a good job of helping.
