CROSS FORUM NRL Round 24 Discussion

That was some of the shittiest, grubiest, diviest and unecessary bunker intervention of a so called game of rugby league I’ve seen.

I only watched the last 15 but the ‘interpretation’ of rules and BS HIA, on report bunkerism, highlights the game is broken

If the storm win this by 2, the discourse around how this game was reffed will be extremely interesting. Becuase the game winning penalty was bs, but for the first 70 mins they got nothing and Penrith got plenty. Last 10 has been everything storms way

That's a fairly consistent penalty this year.

if you take the teams out of and IMO most wouldn't be outraged about it ... and if you put Reynolds in Hughes shoes, and that wasn't called, BHQ (and probably most other Broncos fans) would be blowing up deluxe

Imo not many teams get that call in the last 10 to win a game, but they have given them more at other stages this season I agree.

I'd argue we've seen Reyno and Walsh hit later than that for nothing at times this season though, so again it's about consistency.

Both storm and penref epitomize abusing the rules lol. It's awful to watch.
Yep... they're 1v2 and also the epitome of everything wrong with the game... along with rorters when it comes to the transfer market... 1, 2 & 3 in the comp ... cheaters prosper very well in NRL

Well that works for us. Hopefully that means Melbourne rest their players round 27.
Apparently they're planning to rest for Nth Qld the week before.... I'd say that's mainly Bellamy's ego... hopefully it backfires spectacularly and they come out of it completely bashed and full of injuries and suspensions.

Happens to Walsh a fair bit and never gets anything... Crichton got him straight in the back in Origin after he passed it and was pushing forward in support. No penalty

Wishart the next Hynes from storm?
Unlike Hynes Bellamy can use him in the 17 week in week out as a ball playing lock for 40mins, and he'll stay on the cheap at storm anyway... he's got a new BSmith, except maybe better.

Hynes came through the same way Paps came through and how Bellamy tried to bring Sua through this year... outside back off the bench spending 15mins in the middle at the end of a game... but that's not really working in current NRL at the moment... otherwise Sua would've been playing a lot more games this year.

Funny there are no reports of Faalogo wanting to leave despite the obvious talent and being stuck behind other players hey.

Apparently he has a clause that he's instantly available if Paps extends... so if they re-sign Paps then Sua is apparently on the market... but that probably means it's like a PO being activated.

Paps could re-sign on the cheap and be something in the storm system, but handover fullback to Sua... then storm would have an elite fullback in reserve if they need him... it would be stupid by Paps considering all the injuries he's had and he should absolutely be looking for a payday, but I can see storm lowballing him so it's all "well we tried guys and we wanted to keep him" aka BSmith and Hynes.

Did the bunker forget that Munster plays for Storm and not Penrith?

That NAS sin bin was a joke. His bicep barely touches Laurie lol.

On another note, can you imagine how good we would be if we had a quality coach like Bellamy?

It would be fucking ridiculous how good we'd be.
