HE was good that year, but his game was pretty much just being a powerful ball runner.
I know its a step up from isc but we could do with that, boyd crabs and surrenders. Oates is carrying the load in our back 3. Give isaako a bit more room and he can be an rts light.

Kodi can run better than most, if not all at the Broncs and can throw passes. So he's 145cm or whatever, just get him some Air Jordans.

I didnt think Boyd was as bad as some think he was last night. Him and Macca are just the scapegoats right now. Apart from Lodge and Oates i dont think anyone was great for us.

I actually think the best way to transition Issako to fullback is to get him and Boyd to share the role in games.

Bloody hell I anticipated the Bennett fans to go on a bit this year but after ONE GAME? Haha seriously? Around 4% of the season haha wow... I fully expect souths to have a better year then us because Bennett is an amazing coach and souths have a team built for him and built for a premiership run. BUT he wouldn't have got anywhere near a premiership with our team (see, exhibit a, b and c of the last 3 abysmal final series' drop outs with Bennett as our coach) and we will have the MUCH MUCH better next 5 years. It had to be done or (just like last time, and just like the Knights and the dragons) we would be left picking up the pieces for years later without a premiership to our name.

Bennett isn't our coach GET OVER IT

I really dont think they're scapegoats, I think that's a cheap deflection that doesn't address some of the real issues in the side. Issues that people have complained about for years. They both dont do enough to justify their positions in the side. Boyd in particular.

It's almost as if the only argument for them is their seniority and the fact that 'no one is knocking down the door' but how does one knock down the door if the status quo is kept? I agree performances in lower leagues helps but if you're getting named in the the team of the year, what more can you do?

I really think they are scapegoats. Staggs and Fifita made some really poor decisions in defence and nothing is said because they are the new shiny. I'm not saying Boyd and Macca done have faults, they absolutely do, but they are easy targets imo. There is a big problem though, as you said, nobody is knocking down the door, nobody is forcing the issue.

I always felt Issako was extremely lucky to win that fullback of the year award in 2017 personally. I think Jarome Hughes and Guy Hamilton were better over the season than Issako was.

Thats what i feel at the moment. Its one game. Lets see whats happening after 5 or 6.

The only real worry i have about Seibold is i dont think at the moment he is making the tough decisions. He is shuffiling players like Gillo into lock because he wants to get Fifita and Sua into the side, neither of who are as good as Gillo as back rowers. We have 4 back rowers, at least one of them should really be missing out.

The real tough decision is one of Milford or knik has to go from the halves. This team is dead on arrival without a halfback that can kick. At this stage, knik runs and passes better than Milford but Milford cost a million dollars... what a conundrum...

Ben Hunt is the reason we didn't win a premiership.
Bennett put Hunt in that position in the first place when he told them to shut up shop with more than 20 minutes to go.
If you can bare to watch the grand final again, reasonably early in the second half Macca throws a dummy back on the inside to Parker and goes himself. If he passes it we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Parker was going through a hole the size of Stormy Daniels to score under the sticks.

What a load of bollocks. I've never seen anywhere or heard anything about Bennett sending a message down to the players in that grand final saying ( shut up shop boys, 20 mins to go ). Show me some proof of that please.

If Hunt didnt spear tackle Linnett about 5 mins from the end they dont get back field position. If Hunt has better ball security he doesnt get stripped one on one which lead to their try in the last minute. If Hunt doesnt drop a basic catch from a kick off, they dont get field position to score. Hunt derped it up as much as Macca did. Even after Macca missing parker, we should still have won. We were in a winning position. That was all down to Hunt.
