Reed is such an enigma. He pulls off a good try saving tackle, or works well with Hunt on a grubber chase, then does some woeful things.

What is it? He has showed that he can play really well but has gone backwards. I am convinced it's a combination of lack of attention by Hook together with what I call the "ripple effect" of playing Hoffman at 5/8 where our left hand side is seriously compromised as a result.

The Norman -> Hoffman effect you mean. Reed well and truly plateued after 2011.

Whatever happened to his ability to get his torso free and offload? He had an uncanny knack of drawing his centre and slipping a flick pass to Yow Yeh.

I'd be amazed if Hodges was risked, he's pulled out of training sessions several times this week as a precaution - if he does come back I'd prefer he started on the bench again like Melbourne do with Cameron Smith

if hodges decides to back up then i wouldnt be suprised if maranta drops off the bench for another forward, id say he is just named there with the intention of hodges most likely not playing.
